About this image

Welp... it has started. It'll probably be like... two years+ what with my brain and 'this shapes must be exact!'(which is not gonna happen ofc). :p but... rough Bleakrock Isle.

Don't think I'll do all the ruins interiors and whatnot, it'll be just like,... destroyed. Which will help. And bandits and skeletons that may or may not respawn, and maybe some fisherman(without the fishing dlc though; this only so far requires dragonborn, hearthfire, dawnguard).
Maybe thalmor? idk.
And possibly a nice little playerhome.
Abandoned village, ofc.
hmm.

My head hurts. Anyway, here it is. Before editing the shape again tomorrow, and going in eso and taking a ton of screenshots.

Have you tried creating a heightmap in photoshop or Gimp then using TESAnnwyn to covert to an esp?

Here's a heightmap someone has already done:

    Heightmap for Bleakrock

It's 1024x1024 so it's about a quarter the size of Skyrim. Here's a link to the workflow, if you don't have geocontrol 2 or world creator that's fine just miss that step.

And one other tip for LOD generating, because it's an island. If you generate LOD from your height map when you're ingame standing at the coast it's going to look like the sea water doesn't go very far out until it stops. So copy and back up your Bleakrock Isle.esp In photoshop make a new heightmap but this time make it 4096x4096, and make it 98% black on the greyscale so the heightmap is only water. Follow the process from above name it all the same and generate LOD then switch the esps.
What you're doing is using the larger water heightmap to generate the distant water LOD, then you'll keep that LOD in your LOD folder and paste the Island LOD over it. It'll replace the middle area. So in game the water will like it goes on for ages - but it's not playable area, it's LOD water for visual effect!
