About this image

I really love The Lord of the Rings (LotR) and A Song of Ice and Fire also known as Game of Thrones (ASoIaF/GoT). About a year ago I conceptualized I map and a plausible scenario where this could be possible. After all, no one really knows what is east beyond Rhun; and "What's West of Westeros?" At least we know or knew that Valinor is West of Middle-Earth. I am adding some followers to my Skyrim, it is a long project but I enjoy it. In GoT we are told no one knows what is west of Westeros, and we know the first men came from Essos. Many of the Gods in ASoIaF have demonstrated some kind of power or godliness. Getting back to Middle-Earth We don't know how many Maiar there are, we do know there are about 14 Valar and only 1 Eru Ilúvatar.  Who is to say the Gods in ASoIaF weren't bored Maia or even a few Valar. We know Eru Ilúvatar created the Elves first, then Aulë created the Dwarves second, and Man was the last to wakeup.  We know where the Elves and Dwarves awoke with some certainty... But what about man? they just sprung up everywhere. There are Dwarves and Elves in Tamriel, infact the High Elves or Altmer, could be part of the Noldor, the Dark Elves or Dunmer part of the Avari , and the Wood Elves or Bosmer of the Teleri. (Side note: It is believed Orcs came from Elves in Middle-Earth.) They too could have settled in Tamriel.) A Dwarven faction splintered from one of the eastern Dwarven kingdoms (there are 4 to choose from), and went to Tamriel building a vast empire before collapsing. I used a MERP Map I found of Middle Earth and the official Map by George R.R. Martian's ASoIaF. This is the most logical arrangement of the super continents, I tried to get everything to scale as much as possible. I was quite surprised how small Tameriel is. I also use the Relics of Hyrule mod for Skyrim and I highly recommend it if you like Zelda and Skyrim. I have a pretty cool lore about how Hyrule was an ancient kingdom in Skyrim that is now just ruins. You look around Skyrim for Items you remember from many of the Zelda games out there. Now imagine if Sauron and the Night King joined forces. That reminds me, it is said that Elven Steel of Middle-Earth was light and never dulls, rusts, or corrodes, whereas Valerian Steel of ASoIaF is also light and never dulls, rusts, or corrodes; could it be possible they have similar metallurgy? The children of the forest could be related to a Spriggan in Skyrim.

Aside from the fact that this map has neither Valinor nor Hyrule (and shouldn't have Valinor at all, since it's no longer on the same plane as Middle Earth), orcs, dwarves and elves from the Aurbis work absolutely nothing like LotR. Your idea is "what if I took one of the few original examples of elves, dwarves and orcs and made them boring standard fantasy versions?". Plus it's such a ridiculous mishmash you're going to just lose more than half of what made these settings interesting. And I couldgo on and on about how imcompatible the settings are. The only way to make crossovers work is to just ignore the deeper lore. You want to dive into it. That's like diving into concrete, you're just going to lose your teeth.

It was just a fun idea, I'm not saying I want to write a book or anything. I just wanted an excuse to see some of my favorite characters. I guess I could have just opened a black hole... but that is just lazy.
As to Valinor your right, and as to Hyrule it is buried deep beneath Skyrim. You should try "Relics of Hyrule" Mod. It is a DLC sized mod that seeks to try and integrate zelda artifacts into Skyrim. No quests though, It was cleverly done in the fashion of Zelda, puzzles and happenstance.
