About this image

I released my Riverwood overhaul. So here some information what's next.

In the picture you see a first draft of my overhaul of Soljund's Sinkhole. I want it to be a small Reachmen settlement. There will be a blacksmith and a guard tower. While the name of mine will remain as Soljund's Sinkhole I will probably try to find a more fitting name that sounds more in line with the Reachmen naming conventions (gaelic/brittonic).

I also want to update Oakwood and finally implement quests, scenes and additional dialogue there. I have written a dozen quests for the village and another 6 for the monastery. The Oakwood update will probably be the next release. Depending on how it works out it will be out in may or june.

    Your work are always great!
And the fact that one of your future release is an expansion of Soljund into a decent settlement instead of a single mine+house is perfect for my "expansion plan" of the map, as is also the upgrade of Oakwood (in term of lore friendliness, is second only to Granite Hill among your towns, so is a must on my load order).

If i can suggest some name for the Soljund town: one possibility is to make some reference to Old Hroldan (that in lore was a town, and it was planned to be a town too in the game before being left with only the Inn) since is quite close.
Another option is using the name BJORIN, a settlement name present in the Thane title of the author of the in-game book "Watcher of Stones".
Last option, more connected with the Reachman lore, is using the name of a Reachman clan leader of the "past". If we take into account also ESO, a good option is a reference to BRADAN, wich by lore was the leader of the Reach Ghostsong clan, and was more willing to partially cooperate with foreings, instead of ignoring or attacking them (so even under Nord rule a town with his name could be logical)... i would say something like BRADANSTEAD/STAD or BRADANBY (like some Danish town).
I hope that ideas will help.

PS: if you end up not using Bjorin for that town, it can be used for any other town without better lore alternative, since there is no info in where it should/use to be

Congratulation again for all your works!

Thank you for the praise and the input.

Actually I have already plans for Hroldan and Bjorin. Hroldan will be a larger village on par with Granite Hill, Oakwood and Amber Guard. Bjorin a minor Nord settlement in the Reach.

I'm very sceptical of TESO lore. But Bradan as part of the name doesn't sound bad. I will consider it.

That's... good news. Old Hroldan was originally meant to be more than just an inn, with the inn itself even originally being called the "Hanged Man Inn". Would be nice to see your interpretation, as you consistently deliver excellent locational content.

A name like Haimtir, Ruari or Fenbru from the Skyrim: Home of the Nords Project for morrowind would be a good fit imo :)

I love a lot of the Project Tamriel lore. Don't know yet about the name. But I will consider these.

sounds good! It'd be great to have some continuity between it and TES5 ^^

Congrats on that Riverwood release! It looks great. I'm excited for the next one - Soljund's Sinkhole has always needed a really dedicated overhaul, because it's usually such a forgotten settlement otherwise.

While I'm VERY happy about this, I do have one question for you... When do you SLEEP?! Love your mods, they make Skyrim feel so real.
