oh yes this is the correct way to welcome one of the best modders to ever grace us back to nexus I use all her mods and havnt seen any issue's so if you have one fix it yourself and stop being ungrateful for free content stop being the reason so many modders quit the platform Go back to Big MT you lobotomite!
Every statue mod needs serious fixing. People can't complete quests or there's big red x's next to the statues. The new ones either mess up pathing or don't cover the every statue in the world. Fix those issues before making another creature overhaul that's gonna require a lot more patches to get working with other mods already out there for draugr. I'm not trying to mean just saying the priorities should be shifted.
if someone releases a working standalone mod they are not obliged to make patches to suit your personal mod setup you are making up bs about her mods not working (I use them all and they all work perfectly)
The bug reports on the daedric statues alone disagree & I can attest to the red x issue as well. That's the biggest mod already & desperately needs fixes.
It's always the people who have never published a mod who think they get to tell authors how they should go about things. Buck up and make a fix yourself.
It shouldn't be the job of others to have to fix the underlying issues of a mod itself when the mod author is active. This isn't a load order conflict with other mods issue. It's the mods themselves that need updates to work as is.
Red cross near pyrite shrine appears if you load my mod on existing save, it's game engine issue I do not know how to fix it. Only way i found I posted in sticky comment (using some console commands). Pathing issues around kyraneth shrine is incompatibility with other mods (some other mod's navmesh is overriding mine), not a bug. I have tested all my mods before I published and they all worked as intended.
The mods are free to use, they are also free not to use. Modders aren't obligated to release perfect and bug free work. They are sharing, their work with us. You can ask for fixes but they don't have to oblige. If you don't like that, don't use the mod.
Thank you Mandragora for commenting. I've tried the red x issue fix which didn't work. Ultimately just means a new game is needed there. Meanwhile others have reported issues like statues being unable to be interacted with or an inability to take the skull of corruption. Those are quest breaking issues that should be addressed.
Are you willing to pay them a fair wage for the work? Do they accept commissions to fix your specific issues? No? Then there is no SHOULD about it you entitled baby. Mod authors don't owe you $hit. Moreover, modding is a COMMUNITY. You can make your own patches or use others, the ones made by people who know how not to be an @$$.
@GoldenChimera Most of the issues you are talking about or referring too aren't issues with Mandragorasprouts mods at all, but a lack of conflict resolution and dogpiling mods without proper CR or patches. Many people find it easier to blame mod authors instead of fixing or learning how to fix their own load order
sattyre that's highly debatable especially when there's multiple people reporting the same issues with statues. They can't all have mods conflicting with them. It needs updates.
@GoldenChimera It sometimes only takes one mod to screw things up. If Mandragorasprouts uses the same methodology with all the shrines, there could be something in that methodology that just doesn't work with another mod. I've seen it before, with mods that have no relatable features, yet for some unidentifiable reason they conflict. I'm pretty good with Xedit and I always check for conflicts and fix them. Sometimes though, the conflict isn't at the top level of the game and doesn't show up in xedit, yet it is very clear that there is an issue. I'm guessing your problem, may be like that, as most people don't have any problems with the statue replacers. And I disagree about the "Can't all have mods conflicting". It only takes one 1/2 way popular mod that conflicts with the statues, yet doesn't have an obvious connection, to give a lot of people grief.
Here's the way to test.
Try using the statues with only the base game and no other mods or mod assets enabled. Start a new game. type in console TGM (God Mode so you don't die if you get airborne) player.setav speedmult 500 (will speed up the player dramatically)
Then run around and look at the statues. You can also COC if you have the world references.
Out of curiosity, I just coc'ed from main menu to many of the places with "issues" among them Peryites shrine....
NONE of them had any visual issues at all, and it makes me mad that any so called modder, just shows up here, and claims that Mandragorasprouts should update her work !!
We've all been new to this at some point, and learned in the process, but it seems that far to many newcomers can't figure out to ask the adults before accusing authors of making unfinished mods !!
awesome. I've been pulling the armor off of Bethesda's models and gotten a pretty good look at them and these are a pretty fair, but better representation. You certainly nailed the stance and ratios
Looking forward to seeing the varied designs for the male and female Draugr. And potentially variants of Draugr like Hulking Draugr or the Red-eyed cannibals from Morrowind's Bloodmoon DLC, that are recreated via OpusGlasses Cannibal Draugr on Solstheim Mod.
There's also certain named, unique Draugr like Olaf One-Eye who could just have one glowy eye or the three Gauldurson Draugr, the two guardians in Ansilvund etc.
