Having recently started the Dawnguard content, I found myself at the Icewater Jetty. As you do. To my surprise there was somebody standing around near the boat.
A Follower that I added some time ago and completely forgot about. Easy to do after nearly 250 hours, in my current game.
Claire. The standalone Follower replacement for Serana. from Serana and Claire. I did a little tweaking using SSEEdit. Just changed her voice to Sultry. Which is the best voice, in my opinion, as I'm so bloody bored of hearing Young in Follower mods. Granted, Claire's default voice isn't Young, but you rarely hear Sultry these days, so it's kind of refreshing. I also removed all spells, except for Vampiric Drain, and I'm planning to teach her a few of my choosing, via Amazing Follower Tweaks.
Now, instead of the typical Light Armour-wearing magic-user that most Vampires adhere to, I'm going in a slightly different direction with Claire. Heavy Armour, Sword and Shield, with some Vampiric-style magic for healing and crowd control. Drain, as mentioned, and a few Illusion-based spells I think would compliment her nicely. The armour is Eisen Platte Armor, and I really like the heavier-looking "Skirt" version. There is a black and red colour scheme as well, but it's so overdone. Everybody does the black and red thing. Yawn lol. Besides, the white is a nice contrast, considering she is a Vampire.
Didn't bother with a helmet, as 1) there isn't an Eisen one, 2) I've enchanted the cloak (which is also a perfect match for the blue on the armour!) and 3) she looks better without one. I also went crazy enchanting everybody else's equipment, including mine. Needed to use the 100-odd filled Grand Soul Gems I collected/bought at some point lol. Weapon-wise, she has a Ornate Alik'r Scimitar from Immersive Weapons, for the moment, as it will most likely get changed for something else when I get around to it. I'm on the hunt for a nice shield as well, but haven't found one that quite fits yet. Have so much choice for equipment now, and still can't find something I really want. All in good time.

Taught her a few Illusion spells. Fear, Courage, Calm and Invisibility (for now, I plan to add more). But holy s#*!, she is like a ghost in battle with Invisibility. It's her favourite spell at the moment. She is constantly phasing in and out of combat, positioning herself behind enemies, flying in and attacking those who don't know where she is. And stealing kills from me all of the time, like a bloody ninja!
I love it.
I'm bashing away on an enemy, then she appears out of nowhere and just annihilates them. And I don't even have extra Follower damage or stats activated lol.
Quickly turned into one of my favourites, that's for sure. I still love Ysolda, she's even more of a badass now, but Claire is so much fun to have with us.
