The thing about a starry night and depth of field (DoF), if the focal point isn't high enough to focus on the sky, then the stars will be blurred out by the DoF effect. DoF is interesting to adjust simply by changing the focal point ever so slightly to vary the about of blur that you want in a particular image. I like your image. It has a nice amount sky blur.
Thanks, I really like how this pic turned out. I did try to "stand" far enough away so that Khinara would be in focus, and the sky and stars not too blurred (if that makes sense).
