(ps how much more a a performance hit will there be over currant version roughly, I am just managing with 45fps in heavy area's with gtx1070 and Obsidian)
The default settings should cost the same as before. The new features (if you enable them) should all be relatively lightweight.
CREAA costs roughly 0.2 FPS, the rain droplets ~0.3 FPS (depending on the settings) and the frost vignette and sunsprite shaders are basically free.
But weather effects are only computed in specific weathers and will be skipped otherwise.
Btw: Glad to see that you managed to get your SSE working again!
