Man I’ve been waiting for an ESO style imperial mod since 2014. I saw another mod author come extremely close to making a set like this, but it unfortunately was never finished. You’re doing a fantastic job on this so far, and I hope to see it out there someday!
As a proof of concept this is looking good. It has always puzzled me that nobody tried an ESO style imperial armor revamp in Skyrim style.
As a suggestion maybe dont do the motif for breast plate but do the breastplate and the whole armor as less ornate. So you could maybe use alot of Skyrim assets by editing them to looking like the Heavy 2 set.
I have three ESO based Imperial armors in the works: This heavy armor based mainly off of the heavy armor seen in the first trailer, second a light armor based on the archers in the same trailer, and the third being another heavy armor based on the first image you referenced. I think I've seen two other attempts, but they never saw release. If they will or not I have no idea. Such is the reality of many mods.
In my opinion it looks good but some improvements I suggest are: changing the boots and gauntlets/vambraces to a more look-alike version and adding the leather strips to the pauldrons; adding a shield based on the imperial 4 version from eso (the one with the red diamond instead of the imperial insignia); changing the belt design to a steel/silver insignia with a red diamond. Also I have a question, what is the ETA for the mod to come out?
