The small rocks in SSE are as ugly as they are numerous.  They looked more like what came out of my horse than rocks.  I'm trying to change that by adding variety to the rocks as well as compliment the mountain texture they are found close to.  I'm still trying to decide what kind of rocks look best.  If you have an opinion, then please let me know.

    Hi, well that's a great idea! I have compared all available mountain/rocks textures. The best are:

    But the 8K version, because this resolution makes sense on such huge and stretched meshes.
    Your rocks look already good if the picture is small. Main issue yet is the resolution. Keep it easy, i think these small rocks mustn't look exactly like the big rocks. "Almost as" would be enough.

      I used a slightly larger texture divided in quadrants and then adjusted the UV mapping. Five different rocks from one 512x512 texture. I was focused on complimenting my mountain mod(5099) with this, but after testing mod(7453) I might release this as a stand-alone mod and not just an optional download. Maybe add some variations?
