About this image

The 3rd retexture in my attempt to overhaul the dragons of Skyrim: Odahviing, Alduin's right-hand. 8K by 4K in dimension. It's getting a little easier, but it's still a slow process.

Hey I don't know if it's possible, but I think adding some subsurface scattering to dragon wings could be a cool addition. Just an idea.

The wings have a transparency texture, but you have to view the wings with the light source behind them to see the effect.

Pretty much everything you do is a masterpiece.

It's going to take some time, but I know you can do it.

Why don't you add the details in layers, most of the dragons share the same texture just different colors. Then just copy over the details to the next dragon etc.

To a large extent I do, but the more detailed a texture is, the more the small differences matter. It's not just a simple recolor. As the saying goes, the devil is in the details.

    Looking good, Gamwich.
I like that he's not as bright red as the original.
    Excellent work.

He's pretty colorful compared to most of the dragons, but I tried to tone him down a little. Still, he's a bit of a dandy.
