About this image

I made a nice little bedroom space in Snow Elf/Ancient Falmer style through creative use of the DLC dungeon tileset with homely decoration.

Context: It's a test from an orc overhaul mod. Old Trinimac-era Orsimer ruins use the snow elf pieces, (in much smaller and cosier scale, and usually in unique textures elsewhere to make them look new). I really like a few things I did here such as the space-efficient shelves at the bed corners, the multiple types of lighting and the cosy window beside the desk. It's cosier without the wide screenshot FOV.

Things you can't see are the outside (I love immersive windows), custom Orc corridors, the rest of the building, e.t.c.

I'll discuss what you're seeing more in future if there's interest. Just wanted to balance simplicity with information for now, as I have no idea how many people go looking for mod WIPs.

    This looks nice ! A few things I wanted to ask ;

    - Will this mod have or make use of custom models ?
    - Will there be a forge , unique displays , or even a hot pool / bath ?

      Thanks! And I'm happy to get questions as I tried to keep the description short.

      1. Short answer: yes it hopefully will have custom models, both furniture and buildings. It already has modder resource models and texture swaps..

      For now I'm just creatively reusing Bethesda's assets, plus small modder resources. Here there's Snow elf pieces rescaled to 0.5 (from castle scale to room scale), plus nearby there's retexturing to make the bronze into Orichalcum, and floor into newer but darker tiles. Combined with object placement like replacing the window decoration with real glass and adding lower ceilings it can feel new.

      I'll try to make another room in that sort of kitbash style soon to demonstrate.

      *However* I'm learning to model myself, ideally I'll make my own custom tilesets and furniture but we'll see how far away that is.

      2. I'm not sure this will even be the player home, so displays are decoration only. Probably will have a bath. The equivalent player home totally will have crafting, displays and more rooms though, especially since you asked.
