   so, any mod for normal skyrim that does not need SKSE is good to go? (meaning without the author doing anything at all?)

      Yes and no. Animations mods, NPC mod and many other thing will not work or work incorrectly.

      I think tehre was something about the .bsa files. Apparently they don't use them anymore so you'd have to unpack those files to make the mod work.

      Not quite... Only ones that are actually "safe" right now are the ones that replace textures or weapons. I haven't tried any armors yet but those should be fine as well. Basically, anything like XPSE, Dual Sheathe, and other Skeleton editing mods will not work, which includes anything with HDT Physics... (I know. I miss having flowing hair as I run...). Give it time. I'm sure we'll have SSESE and all of our favorite mods before you put the turkey in the oven.

      Better Males - sundrecon meshes crashes.... Better Males faces younger faces working atm
