Changelogs
Version 1.1
- Corrected bugs likely introduced during respective mod updates
- Fixed an issue causing salted meat not to show up even when you've unlocked Preservationist
- There are now salted and unsalted recipes for all the basic meats. They have the same buff, but if you choose to spend salt on them they should be preserved and will not spoil as fast.
- Replaced the salt requirement for Gourmet soups with Last Seed’s water instead. This prevents being able to fill your thirst need with no water, as intended by Last Seed. (Salt requirements with survival mods can be kind of annoying anyway, you end up needing so much salt it starts to feel like you have a salt addiction. Hopefully this helps curb that a bit by diversifying options)
- Copied over some Gourmet recipes and skooma edits to prevent Last Seed overwriting them if the load order is wrong. If Gourmet updates these edits they’ll stay outdated with this mod, but that should be fine and I suspect that they wont be changed anyway. Load order should matter much less now.
Important! Both mods introduce a skooma addiction mechanic. I'm not familiar enough with either to fix it, so you'll have to go into Last Seed's MCM to turn it off
Suggested Load Order: Last Seed > Gourmet > These Patches
Gourmet x Last Seed Patch
In general, I prioritize Gourmet over Last Seed where creative visions differ
Gave the gourmet effects to Last Seed’s food
Replaced soup and stew recipe salt requirements with Last Seed water. This prevents being able to fill your thirst need with no water, as intended by Last Seed. (Salt requirements with survival mods can be kind of annoying anyway, you end up needing so much salt it starts to feel like you have a salt addiction. Hopefully this helps curb that a bit by diversifying options)
Last Seed’s skooma recipes were disabled in favor of Gourmet’s recipes. Be sure to disable Skooma addiction in Last Seeds MCM.
Put the recipe for Canis Root Tea behind the Preservationist perk, since I don’t want to make a physical recipe for it for compatibility and laziness
The Last Seed recipe for honey only shows up if you have honeycomb in your inventor
Gourmet x Last Seed CC Fishing Addon
Removes salt from basic cooked fish recipes as Last Seed does
Recipes will only appear if you have the fish in your inventory like in Gourmet
Manbeast x Last Seed Patch
Edits one record to use the Manbeast effect for feeding while still restoring hunger
Artificer x Last Seed Patch
Edits one record to use the Artificer effect for Namira's Ring while still restoring hunger
Note: I'm having issues with the feeding animation not triggering sometimes, but it is not related to this patch, as it happens without it.
Apothecary
As of April 2025 Last Seed comes with an outdated patch for Apothecary Food, this can be hidden/deleted. The main Apothecary patch still seems to be functional.
Starfrost: I don't use Starfrost right now, since I use Last Seed and Frostfall. Therefore this patch does not cover it. Starfrost and Last Seed have different takes on the same game mechanic, so they're more deeply incompatible.
