About this mod

Ever feel like you just run too slow in Skyrim? Are you tired of wasting stamina to sprint? Then, this is the mod for you!

I don't know about you all, but I feel that the run speed in Skyrim is just too slow; and, unlike in Oblivion, you can't increase your run speed via leveling up attributes. Sure, you can sprint, but why waste stamina, especially if you prefer melee combat to magic? So, through much trial and error, I decided to make a mod that gives you the ability, through an enchantment, to increase your run speed.

This mod adds a movement speed enchantment, obtained via one of two pairs of boots from Riverwood trader and/or Farengar in Dragon's Reach, which can be used like any enchantment. Unfortunately, I was unable to make a working spell for the effect, so it can only be used as an enchantment.

Boots of the Steed: Enhances Movement speed by 60%, Enhances Carry Weight by 300, Enhances stamina by 200, Enhances Stamina Regeneration by 200%, Enhances Magica regeneration by 200%

Boots of the Athlete: Enhances Movement speed by 20%

Both pairs of boots are cloth, so no armor value. However, Both enchantments can be learned and added to anything the Carry Weight enchantment supports. Also, while the Boots of the Steed are rather OP, they are expensive. This mod wasn't exactly created for cheating.

As for installation, I'm afraid it must be manually installed. I'm new at creating mods, and I'm not a programmer. Simply find the Data file in your Skyrim folder, and add my mod: Run Faster.esp, to the folder. After you have done that, you can enable it via the in-game mod manager. Or, if you have NMM, you should find it in the Plugins section for Skyrim.

Update: New version, v-1.2 adds a spell called Run Faster which fortifies movement speed by 40%, the tome of which can be purchased from any vender who sells Restoration spells, such as Farengar.
