Are you having trouble with followers or summons that are overpowered or too weak? This mod will solve such troubles.
This mod is a complete stand-alone version of Follower Difficulty Balancer.
Currently, it supports up to 10 followers and up to 4 summon creatures. And then there is the option to apply a simple effect to an unlimited number of summons.
A file is available to add the MCM to the optional files (requires the main file of this mod, SKSE64 and SkyUI).
Unlike the original version, it is built classically, taking on a traditional mod structure (so called, it is faithful to the script reference guide), and is very stable and has a low processing load.
But it goes without saying that the mod not only works classically, it also works through an adventurous and innovative script.
It is fully compatible with Skyrim's Vanilla environment.
Everything from Skyrim LE to AE 1.6.1170 works (Seems to work fine in VR).
Follower Difficulty Balancer (Original version)
NOTE: This mod is not a mod to expand the maximum number of followers. It is only intended to give followers a pseudo difficulty setting.
What's New
Ver. 1.4
Added an option to support an unlimited number of summons. This allows for a simple effect equivalent to the difficulty level, even if it was the 5th or later summon.
Added custom difficulty. This allows you to increase or decrease the amount of damage taken or given, adjust to your liking.
Ver. 1.4a
Ver. 1.4a MCM
An option to add MCM is now available.
However, SKSE64 and SkyUI are required to use this option.
When Refresh/Reset is selected in the MCM, it is scheduled to run after a menu is closed.
Ver. 1.4a1 - Minor bugfix patch
[Note] This is a very minor bugfix and should only be installed if necessary.
This patch fixes a bug that caused an error in situations with high overall script load, such as very large battles (100 vs. 100), where repeatedly storing and releasing followers would cause the release to be performed on non-existent targets.
Ver. 1.4a2 - Minor update patch
[Note] This is a very minor bugfix and should only be installed if necessary.
This patch will allow follower updates from location changes to work better, when using the auto search option. By timing the update a little later than the location change, the update will occur after the followers are placed around the player.
Fixed a problem in which the "No Hit Event" flag was not checked for the search effect.
Fixed a bug where unlimited summon would not start up properly.
Include 1.4a1 and 1.4a2 fix patches.
Ver. 1.4b MCM
The debuff for unlimited summon is now more similar to the difficulty setting.
How to use
Install this mod.
When you start the game with the mod enabled, nearby followers and summons are automatically stored in the follower list.
The "FLDifBalancer CE setup menu" has been added to the Power section, use POWER to open the menu and select a difficulty preset from the "Difficulty" section.
Options include toggling the effect on each actor value and toggling the automatic detection of summons.
The " Refresh" item allows updating the follower list, adding followers to the follower list, updating all, or deleting all.
Force reset returns the follower with the wrong actor value to the normal actor value.
Time to automatic detection is increased (up to 10 seconds) if the summoning is done in succession or if the target spell is triggered. this is to reduce the load. If no such target spell is used for 10 seconds, the detection time returns to normal. this is to reduce the load.
The periodic automatic update, this feature is still in beta. If this feature is enabled, the status of followers will be checked and updated periodically after each the specified time has elapsed. It is recommended to try using this feature with an update interval between 10 and 20 seconds.
Unlimited summons support is an option that allows simplified and unlimited support for the effects of a 5th and subsequent summons, in addition to the traditional support for up to 4 summons. This option also allows for necromancer role-play with an army of the undead is also possible (This mod does not increase the maximum number of summons. Please use other mods in combination). Note that this effect is only a decrease. And the power of magic and ranged attacks also varies based on melee damage value.
Custom difficulty allows you to adjust each value of the difficulty item to your liking.
Differences from the original version
What has become possible
this Mod is very easy to install.
In contrast to the original version, which did not have a list containing followers, this can properly manage up to 10 followers.
It also has a very intelligent force reset, so if you want to reset to the appropriate actor value, you only have to do it once.
Excellent compatibility.
Stability and low processing load.
Fully works in a vanilla environment.
The original version depended on other plug-ins, so it was not possible to fully understand how it worked.
As a result, there was a great deal of processing to prevent unexpected behavior.
However, since this version is stand-alone, I was able to fully understand and make it work.
What you can no longer do
The number of applicable followers has been significantly reduced from 100 to 10+4.
The vanilla version does not automatically detect the player's difficulty level.
It is superior in terms of stability and processing speed, but significantly inferior to the original version in terms of functionality, so it is better to choose one based on ease of use and environment.
