Hi,
This is a personal thing I made and thought I would share in case it interests anyone.
I like to play with the regular compass turned off along with all map markers off, but still wanted to know cardinal direction so I don't have to pull up the map a bunch to orientate myself.
I was also using the True HUD Skins Collection and liked the one Enderal option there so I made this in its likeness.
What it does:
The sword rotates as a compass, the hilt is north and point of the blade is south. It is intended to be used over the top of the True HUD Widget.
I've included color variants you can pick in game, as well as a bonus minimalist compass needle that I made for another game.
Installation:
If you aren't interested in True Hud:
Install Simple Compass
Install this mod and choose NONE in the FOMOD option
Choose your background/needle(sword)/overlay (the eye) in the Simple Compass MCM
If you are using it with True Hud:
Install Simple Compass
Install True Hud
Install True Hud Skins Collection
Then install this mod in that order. Choose the background color in the FOMOD this is changing a swf file for True Hud. Set the MCM settings for Simple Compass and True Hud as seen in the screenshots here if you want it to look like how it does in my game.
Choose whatever colors you want to pair but I recommend mixing and matching so it has good contrast and visibility
