About this mod

This is a collection of replacers for TrueHUD's player shout widget. Tons of logos available in multiple styles allowing for hundreds of possible combinations, and compatible with any TrueHUD skin replacer. This is the successor to the individual TrueHUD skins I've released previously

First of all, massive thanks to Vorganger, author of Untarnished UI, who suggested and effectively taught me how to make this replacer modular and compatible with other skins.

I've now added logos for all the classes from Baldurs Gate 3 as well as some new logos based on some of Skyrim's achievement icons which I felt suited the idea. Along with the original mod(s), this means a combined 130+ alternative logos to customise your TrueHUD widget to suit your character, race, allegiance, favoured Deity or Daedra and more. And best of all, by separating the shout widget from the base SWF files, the replacers should now be compatible with any TrueHUD reskin, allowing you to use them with Untarnished UI, Edge UI or other reskins as well as my own UI mods.

To install, simply install TrueHUD first and then install this file, overwriting the one file from TrueHUD.

This mod can be safely removed and/or reinstalled any time, so you can change the widget for your character or to match a change in your UI as you wish.

Currently available logos:

  • Default (based on the central part of the shape from TrueHUD's original widget)
  • Skyrim Logo, Dragon Soul achievement, Thu'um Master achievement, Vampire, Werewolf, Dawnguard, Dark Brotherhood, Tribunal, Thieves Guild, College of Winterhold, Dwemer, Cult of Miraak, Morag Tong, Nightingales
  • All 17 Daedric Lords
  • Each of the nine divines and the symbol of Auriel
  • The 9 Holds of Skyrim for all devoted Thanes out there
  • Ten race logos from Elder Scrolls Online, and ESO Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant, Ebonheart Pact
  • Four icons for Enderal
  • From the world of The Witcher - School of the Wolf, School of the Bear, School of the Cat, School of the Dragon, School of the Viper, School of the Griffin, The Sorceress, Thronebreaker
  • From Legend of Zelda - Hylian Crest and Lorulian Crest
  • Every class and subclass icon from Baldurs Gate 3

Check the images tab for examples of the styles mixed with other HUD skins.

Stone Diamond - originally a part of Horizons UI Remake

Sketched Circle - a new style intended to match a new UI I am developing, but suitable for any paper-based UI/HUD.

I'm open to suggestions for images to add to this collection, especially as this new version only requires me to add them once instead of multiple times for each skin. That said, I only want to include widgets that generally fit in and match the fantasy concept, so I won't add your character's face, your MMO clan, or the Pepsi logo.

But it's easier than ever to add your own images as widget logos, so if you want your character's face, your MMO clan, or the Pepsi logo in-game, here's how to do it:

  • You'll need JPEXS and your preferred image editor.
  • Download and install this mod. Whichever background style you want, and any image as you'll be replacing it anyway - although if you want your image to 'fit' within the border you'll probably want to use an appropriate image to use as a guide. Generally any of the ones that appears as circles in the FOMOD will have been trimmed to fit (they appear as circles in the FOMOD even in the diamond configurations, to save me making double the screenshots)
  • With JPEXS open the file truehud_shoutoutline.swf.
  • In the Images tab right-click on the only image and choose 'Export Selection'. Recommend exporting it as a PNG.
  • Edit and replace the file as you wish in your image editing program.
  • Right-click on the image in JPEXS again and choose 'Replace', and select your new image.
  • Save the file in JPEXS. Your new image should now appear in-game.

I have open permissions so if you want to release your own logos as mods that's fine, but I ask that you only release the truehud_shoudoutline.swf and truehud_shoutbackground.swf files, and keep this mod as a requirement. The reason for this is that I have edited the TrueHUD_widgets.swf file to allow for the external images to be used, and if Ershin makes updates to TrueHUD in the future that affect this file then this mod will need to be updated also - it will save you the effort of having to update the mod yourself and will be a better experience for the mod user. If I fall off the face of the Earth/Nexus and aren't around to make such an update, then I give standing permission for someone else to do so.
