This mod adds a spell: Summon Skeletons.

The spell summons a random number of up to 10 skeletons (most times from 4 to 6 skeletons). However, this is limited by the maximum number of skeletons you can have, and it depends on your perks.

You can recast the spell until you reach the maximum number of skeletons you can control.

The summoning lasts 5 minutes.


This mod adds nine books of necromancy. The first book teaches you the spell to summon skeletons. Other books give you a perk to increase the number of skeletons you can control at time.


Necromancy Tome 1 - Summon Skeletons: Gives you the spell.

Necromancy Tome 2 - The Path of the Necromancer: +1 skeleton for each conjuration tier you have, from Novice to Master (up to +5 skeletons).

Necromancy Tome 3 - The Power of Death: +1 skeleton if you have the perk Necromancy, and +1 skeleton if you have the perk Dark Souls.

Necromancy Tome 4 - Talk to the Dead: +1 skeleton

Necromancy Tome 5 - Channeling Dark Energy: +1 skeleton if you have the perk Conjuration Dual Casting.

Necromancy Tome 6 - Summoner's Tools: +1 skeleton

Necromancy Tome 7 - Corpses and Bones: +1 skeleton

Necromancy Tome 8 - Obedient Dead: +1 skeleton

Necromancy Tome 9 - Linked Souls: +1 skeleton if you have the perk Twin Souls (so this perk gives +2 skeletons instead of +1).


With only the first book, you can summon 1 skeleton (2 skeletons if you have the perk Twin Souls). In total, you can have a maximum of 15 skeletons if you have read all the books and have all the required skills. Without the perks, you can have up to 5 skeletons.

Vanilla perks are not modified, and these bonuses do not apply to other summons.


The text of the books contains knowledge and considerations about necromancy from the point of view of a practitioner. I hope you enjoy reading it.


There is one book in each dwarven and nordic ruin located in The Pale region (excluding outdoors ruins). Each book is located within a dungeon and it is placed in plain sight on a table, in a reasonably easy to find way. Some places are unlocked in quests, so you will increase your power throughout the game.

The first book is located in Frostmere Crypt.


Models: These skeleton are customized models from vanilla skeletons. Unlike vanilla skeletons, these models have homo sapiens skull type.

Animations: Summoned skeletons use human animations. They don't sprint. Unlike other summons, they wield weapons and crouch when player does.

Clothing: They have random clothes and rags combinations. Aside from bare skeletons, it's hard to see two identical skeletons.

Weapons: Skeletons mainly have iron or steel weapons, and some of them have bow or shield.

Level: Skeletons level with the player, they have 25% of the player level with a maximum of 25.
