But what if the beast I am slaughtering is just some rabbit and the only thing I feel is guilt? And my eyes hurt because of how bright and long the Vanilla Soul Trap visual effect is?
Well that's when you open SSEEDIT and take most of the visual effects out of the script for soul snatching. The script works the same as before, just doesn't fire the CasterVFX, CasterFXS, TargetVFX and IMOD effects.
The casting hit effect stays the same, but when the Soul Trapped NPC dies, it only flashes light purple on the skin for split second. Your screen won't light up like a Christmas tree and there's no ugly soul lines flying in your direction.

Odin - Skyrim Magic Overhaul version affects:
- Everything the Odin-less version affects
- Soul Harvest Spell
- Soul Cloak Spell
As for compability, it only slightly changes the script in related to Soul Trapping Magic Effects [MGEF], so it should be compatible with any mod that uses Vanilla Soul Trap MGEFs. For mods that add more variations of the Soul Trap spell or edit it's effect/sound, a patch will be needed.
Both versions compatible with Acquisitive Soul Gems.
