Compatibility
Game Version
Busy Follower Framework was build using the latest version of Skyrim and the Creation Kit, alongside Creation Kit Platform Extended. Those running older versions of the game may be required to install Backported Extended ESL Support.
Other Frameworks
First and foremost, this mod is NOT intended to be used alongside any other follower frameworks, except my own mods such as A Dog's Life (with a patch), A Cat's Life and A Bunny's Life.
Just be sure to place A Dog's Life after BFF in the load order and download the patch in the downloads section. My other framework mods don't have any direct conflicts.
Base Game Script Edits
A select number of base game scripts (mentioned in the Technical Doc) have been edited for compatibility with various quests and situations throughout the vanilla game.
There are likely to be other compatibility issues with mods that touch the same scripts, however, most of the base game script changes are for moving followers to specific locations and accounting for the increase to the standard follower limit of one.
Dialogue Conflicts
You may come across seeing multiple "Follow me" dialogue options for potential followers. If this happens, it's likely another mod playing with the vanilla dialogue system. Try changing your load order and checking any mods editing the DialogueFollower quest as BFF essentially attempts to disable some of the dialogue topics so that BFF's own quests and dialogue can take charge. One known conflict such as this is Relationship Dialogue Overhaul.
Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch
Where there are conflicts with the popular Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch, these improvements have been included in this mod, meaning you should allow BFF to overwrite.
Patch Creation
The creation of this framework has been long, complicated, challenging and at some times frustrating. As a result, my initial focus is on getting the mod released into the wild for the community to enjoy. If you come across compatibility issues, feel free to comment and let me know, however I'm not likely to be creating patches for every possible mod, nor will I be in a rush to do so. I need to take some time away from BFF for a while and focus on other projects, unless any major issues crop up I feel the need to fix. The community is more than welcome to jump in and create patches to share with the community.
Bug Reporting
Busy Follower Framework is a highly ambitious one-man project and took many months of development and multiple code refactors to get it to where it is today. I'm not naïve enough to think this mod won't have some teething issues as the Skyrim engine simply wasn't built for this level of follower functionality.
If you do come across any bugs, please gather as much information as you can using the System page of the MCM as this allows you to spit out debug notifications to both the game and the Papyrus log. Be sure to keep bugs in the Bug Reports section, otherwise they may go unnoticed. Also try to stay constructive as just moaning about broken functionality doesn't help anyone.
This mod can support up to 25 followers, however the intension isn't that you take an army of people into war, it's that your followers are dotted around Skyrim waiting at homes, looking after your kids or doing the gardening. Should you decide to have a trail of followers behind you, you may find that some scripts slow down a little, so be sensible.

Recommended Mods
Simple Outfit Manager
For those of you who would like an outfit system to also manage the player's outfits, check out my Simple Outfit Manager mod that also aims to provide quick outfit switching in an immersive and intuitive way.
Follower Light Foot SPID
As perks cannot be directly given to actors and reference aliases in the Creation Kit, they need to be added after the fact. It didn't make sense for me to repeat what someone else had already hit the nail on the head. If you don't want your followers wandering into traps, I recommend downloading Follower Light Foot SPID.
Press E to Heal Followers
Adds the ability to heal your followers using a hotkey press to alternate between talk and heal. I was going to implement this into BFF but this is a much cleaner solution. and works well.
Equip Enchantment Fix
For fixing an issue with enchantments of objects not been applied under certain circumstances, especially including when some key functions in this mod are used to manage outfit items.
A Cat's Life | A Dog's Life | A Bunny's Life
If you love followers, especially animal followers, check out my Life Mods which include cats, dogs and bunnies. These are all built on similar versions of the Busy Follower Framework.
