Thuldor's Ivarstead
Tweaks and Addons

I recently added Thuldor's Ivarstead to my modlist and instantly fell in love, it just had some rough edges that I felt kept it from it's full potential as a truly living village. This addon mod seeks to bring it a little closer.

Features

- Bug fixes and optimization. Fixed buggy meshes and added collision to several objects that needed it. Optimized some finicky interior navmeshes.
- Reworked interiors and dynamic lighting. Interiors have been overhauled for functionality and aesthetics. Added dynamic day-and-night light cycles and adjusted light sources to minimize light leaks and flickering, particularly when using Lux.
- More life-like schedules and behavior for NPCs. Inhabitants that didn't have a place to eat or sleep have been given both as well as revamped AI packages. Shops and homes will be locked at night.

For a more exhaustive list of changes you can click on the spoiler below:

- Buildings: Added emittance data; this means that both interior and exterior windows will now react to weather and time of day. Added lock and ownership data to doors. Fixed a stone pillar asset that was missing necessary collision flags, causing you to be able to phase right through it.
- Exterior: Added navcut collision to several spots where NPCs would get frequently stuck in, particularly the smelter and posts around the town well. Repositioned the aforementioned smelter and a fish rack. Fixed some z-fighting planks. Added chimneys to buildings with interior fireplaces. Moved that one cow off the sidewalk. Added some unintrusive clutter like crates above the bakery side-entrance and a banner above the entrance to the chapel. Exterior navmesh has not been touched.

- Mara's Chapel: Added ground layer to fix a gap in the floor mesh. Added a cot in the back for Sorik to sleep in. He will now sleep from midnight to 6AM. The Chapel will remain open to visitors 24/7.
- Pilgrim's Purchases: Added missing North marker. Added a living space with a bed and fireplace for Ingman and reworked his AI packages. Ingman will do his shopkeeping from 8AM to 8PM, visit the inn from 8PM to 10PM, and sleep from midnight to 6AM. I also moved the bar counter to make it easier for him to navigate in and out of it.
- Breadsmith: Minor clutter tweaks. Added missing North marker. Bagus will work from 8AM to 8PM, visit the inn from 8PM to 10PM, and sleep at The Mountain's Anvil from 10PM to 6AM. Added a dagger and food loot to his inventory.
- The Mountain's Anvil: Minor clutter tweaks. Improved lighting. Added a kitchen to the interior and a little sitting area in the exterior balcony. Reworked Agdaz's schedule; she will work outside from 8AM to 6PM, work inside from 6PM to 8PM, and sleep from 10PM to 6AM. I also added a dagger and a key to the bakery to her inventory.
- Hermund's House: Minor clutter tweaks. Hermund's AI schedule is unchanged.
- Eye of the East: Reworked lighting and added two cots for guards to sleep in. I haven't actually edited the guards AI to make use of them so they're there mostly for immersion for now.

- Vilemyr Inn: Completely refurnished the lower floor and a bit of the upper floor to make better use of the space. Replaced the firepit with a fireplace. Moved Lynly's and Gwilin's beds back inside the building so they can complete their vanilla sleep packages. Re-added some vanilla clutter to make the place feel more lively.
- Fellstar Farm: Refurnished the interior to make better use of the space. Improved lighting. Re-added a fireplace and cooking pot. Boti and Jofthor now have a double bed to sleep in together which apparently they didn't even have in vanilla (this will conflict with mods that edit their vanilla sleep packages, but the only one I'm aware of is AI Overhaul and a patch for it is provided).
- Klimmek's House: Minor clutter tweaks.

- NPC Misc: Bagus sleeps in the same home and bed as Agdaz so I decided they're officially married now. Accordingly, I added fitting relationship data to new NPCs for the sake immersion. Bagus and Agdaz are husband/wife, Bagus and Ingman are friends, and Sorik/Hermund are boss/employee.

a bucha other stuff idk i'm tired

Available Patches

Included in the FOMOD installer. Most of these should be used IN PLACE of the patches provided in the original mod page, with the exception of the one for Lux. Most patches for mods that affect exteriors should still work as exterior layout has been left largely untouched.

AI Overhaul
EmbersXD
Gourmet - Cooking Pots and Baking Ovens
Candlehearth - An Inn Overhaul

This patch is more involved and requires Thuldor's original patch to work properly. Load order should be:

Thuldor's Ivarstead.esp
Thuldor's Ivarstead - Tweaks and Fixes.esp
Lux.esp
Lux - Thuldor's Ivarstead.esp
Lux - Thuldor's Ivarstead - Tweaks and Fixes.esp

Note: I've only made patches for mods that I personally use or have used. If you find there's a critical conflict with another mod that is not fixed by Thuldor's official patches, let me know and I might take a look.

Addons

These addons are optional and technically don't require the main file, still nice to have though.

Statue to Kyne

Replaces the exterior statue of Mara with a Statue of Kynareth, inspired by lore about the Throat of the World being sacred to Kyne.
The Chapel is still dedicated to Mara (she's Kyne's handmaid after all).

Requires meshes and textures from Mandragoraprouts' original mod.

Lux Orbis Patch

Compatibility patch for Lux Orbis. Shifts orphaned light sources to match the new town layout.
I also added a couple of new lights and lanterns where it seemed fitting.

Sunhelm Addon

Adds a bucket to the town well for water refills, for use with Sunhelm.

Compatibility

This mod is compatible with both J3w3ls' Farmhouse Roofs (used in screenshots) and Missile's Riften Stone Alternate Textures. However, Riften Stone Alternate Textures currently has a soft incompatibility with the split meshes from Lux - not a bug and nothing to do with this mod, just something to keep in mind when building your load order and reporting problems.
