Stormcrown A Skyrim VR Modlist
Stormcrown is an RPG modlist focused on bringing its ancient gameplay to modern standards, with massive overhauls that affect everything from how you gain experience and level up to how you interact with enemies. Designed with balance, performance, and stability in mind, Stormcrown offers a refined and reliable gameplay experience
Features
Stormcrown includes a ton of overhauls, with custom patches and tweaks to make sure they're seamlessly integrated into the game. The overhauls include but are not limited to:
Experience In vanilla Skyrim, you only gain XP by using skills, making quests and exploration feel less rewarding. With the Experience mod, you earn XP for completing quests, killing enemies, discovering locations, and more, ensuring every adventure feels rewarding.
Static Skill Leveling Rewritten Vanilla skill leveling can feel grindy, forcing repetitive actions to improve skills, such as spam-crafting rings to level up Smithing. This mod lets you allocate skill points when leveling up, creating a smoother, more natural progression system without unnecessary grinding.
Seasons of Skyrim Skyrim’s world lacks seasonal changes. This mod adds dynamic transitions, such as snow in Whiterun during winter, and a green Riften in summer, making the landscape evolve with the seasons for a fresh feel.
Simonrim Suite of Mods The Simonrim mods refine Skyrim’s systems: magic, perks, combat, religion and more which offers balanced improvements that enhance gameplay while retaining the core essence of Skyrim’s charm. Combined with my custom patches as well as other gameplay mods, this allow for more build variety. Race and the class you choose to play matters more than ever, will you be a Khajiiti monk, a Dark Elf Shadowmage, an Imperial Templar or something else completely? The choice is yours!
Skyrim Realistic Conquering + Environs Series In vanilla Skyrim, cleared locations often remain empty and forgotten. These mods bring them back to life by repopulating areas with new NPCs or changes over time. Bandit camps may become guard posts, and ruined sites may evolve as the story progresses, making the world feel alive and ever-changing.
These are just some of the more notable mods in my list, there are many more mods that are essential to my vision of Stormcrown. The complete modlist and loadorder can be found here:
FAQ
Why Stormcrown instead of FUS or MGO? If you are new to Skyrim or want something closer to vanilla, play FUS! If you want tons of new content and visual mods, play Mad God's Overhaul! My list aims to make Skyrim into the RPG it should've been, balanced in a way to motivate you to actually use the games mechanics such as Alchemy, Enchanting and more.
How's the performance? I'm proud with how the list performs, and I've kept it customizable so that you can go for either maximum performance or the best visuals. The default configuration is designed to balance performance and visuals, this is what's shown in the screenshots.
