About this mod

ESL-Flagged Restoration Spells done right. Turn Undead, Repel Undead, and Healing spells reworked for more utility and interesting game-play.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
My aim here is to make Restoration magic interesting and useful. It seems to me that about a third of the enemies in Skyrim are one type of Undead or another, so I focused on that. A lot of mods add poison spells to the Restoration school, but I've never heard of a priest, cleric, or paladin carpet-bombing a battlefield with poison. That's just not for me. With this mod Restoration magic will absolutely out-perform Destruction magic against Undead enemies.

I've uploaded it in two plugins, so you can choose what you want.

If you want the power of these spells to scale better, try my other mod: Arcane Mastery

Update - Version 1.1: Applies to both plugins. Please read for details.

RNR Turn Undead Damage will now reduce undead enemies to ashes.

RNR Dead Don't Heal has had the changes to leveled lists removed to increase compatibility. Instead, the two new spell tomes can be added to Farengar's and Colette's merchandise with Container Item Distributor. (The ini file for this is included in the download. Just install as you normally would.) Alternatively, they can be crafted at a tanning rack if you don't want to use CID.

Thank you to Xaliber13 for bringing this compatibility issue to my attention and for presenting the solution.

The First Plugin:

RNR Turn Undead Damage -

Turn Undead Spells:

-I reduced the flee time to 10 seconds to avoid some of the Benny Hill style pursuits.
-The initial impact deals immediate fire damage that is slightly less than their equivalent Destruction spells.
-Undead will then take 10 seconds of continuous fire damage, equaling more in total than the Destruction equivalent.
-Turn Undead now has an area of 10 and Turn Greater Undead has an area of 15.
-The status effect damage will increase in magnitude by 1% per level in the Restoration skill to stay competitive with the many power increasing perks of the Destruction tree. This is done through a passive hidden perk.
-The magnitude of the Turn Undead effect has also been increased, so they will work against higher level enemies.

Repel Undead Spells:

-The flee time of 30 seconds has been left as is.
-Both Repel Lesser Undead and Repel Undead now have lingering Damage Magicka and Damage Stamina effects. They are very effective for hobbling Vampires and Draugr Mages.
-The magnitude of the Turn Undead effect has been increased for these, as well.

Staves and Scrolls for both Turn Undead and Repel Undead have been changed to match their spell counterparts.

The Second Plugin:

RNR Dead Don't Heal -

-Healing spells, potions, and food items with either the Restore Health or Regenerate Health effects will now harm Undead.
-This can be used offensively. The Grand Healing spell absolutely decimates weaker Undead. I've found it to be extremely useful as a counter to Vampiric Drain.
-The damaging effect will affect the player, too. The Potion of Blood, Heal Undead spell, and Necromantic Healing spell are not affected.
-Since Heal Undead and Necromantic Healing both suck, I've added two new healing spells for Undead.
Undead Fast Healing - Apprentice
Undead Grand Healing - Expert
They are functionally the same as their vanilla counterparts, but only work for Undead. They can be purchased from Colette Marence or any court wizard that sells Restoration spell of those levels.

Thank you to PaladinDanser for giving me the idea for the Dead Don't Heal plugin. I hadn't even considered it before and it's turned out to be fairly awesome.
