Have you ever taken a look at Arc's incredible mead barrel model, loaded it up into a game, admired the intricate detailing, and then realized the same fancy barrel was present in every tavern, bandit cave, and ruin?
Well I did, so I made this. Distributed Arc's Mead Barrels uses the power of Base Object Swapper to selectively distribute both Arc's mead barrel and the edited bloody version to areas where I think it makes sense. Currently Solitude, Winterhold, Castle Volkihar, and select other vampire-related areas are receiving this new and improved model.
This mod requires Arc's original files as well as the bloody version by Neutrall9!
By itself, this mod does nothing. It only contains an .espfe and a _SWAP.ini file. The original textures, meshes, and a little bit of your own elbow grease are needed to make this mod work!
Directions:
1. Install all required files
2. Open Arc's MeadBarrel Redux, copy mead barrel meshes (do not copy spigot01.nif) in the clutter and furniture folders, and paste into their respective folders at Distributed Arcs Mead Barrels\meshes\Arc\
3. Open Arc's Bloody MeadBarrel Redux, copy the files in the dlc01, and paste into Arcs Mead Barrels\meshes\Arc\dlc01\clutter\meadery
4. When you're done, it should look something like this:
5. Install whatever MeadBarrel replacer you prefer as usual. This will replace all mead barrels except for the distributed fancy versions. I personally recommend Rally's Mead Barrels, but it's up to your personal preference.
After you're done you should be able to load into the game, visit any location in Solitude, Winterhold, or Volkihar and see Arc's beautiful model in action!
PS: You can safely ignore or delete the "filesgohere.txt" files. These are just placeholders since 7zip won't include empty folders.
