So, I just installed the mod and went to go find the mine. Got to the entrance and some of the timbers outside were floating and the "mine entrance" was buried in terrain. So, I went into Creation Kit and made a patch with some terrain adjustments to open the barred entrance and put the timbers on the ground. I THINK Northern Roads was messing it up, but no matter. So I go back into the game to find that the entrance I just cleared (I would have cleared it anyway just for immersion) was NOT the entrance after all! So I take the note, and run to the Jarl. He has nothing to say about it. So THEN, I look it up in posts here and SPOILER ALERT: find that the REAL entrance is up the hill to the right! Lol! Good one! So THAT entrance is clear and I'm in the dungeon now, ready to explore. Thanks for this! Hoping to have some fun!
Oh no im sorry you had so much trouble sorting things out! But im also glad you were determined and wanted to give my dungeon a try; thank you! And thank you for being a good sport about it all, I hope you enjoy it. I would love to hear if you think BGM was worth all the trouble :)
Oh yeah! Good times! Just got finished what I BELIEVE was a full exploration. Every time I THOUGHT I was nearly done, I ran across another ladder or tunnel to somewhere else. It was fun! As advertised, a touch tight and claustrophobic in places, just enough light (and it helps that my follower, Neiva, consistently pulls a Torch out when not in combat) to navigate and see the path. Story kinda reminded me a little of something out of Fallout and the Ayleid ruins made me feel a little nostalgic for Oblivion...lol. TONS of good ore to collect, and a few odds and ends treasures hidden away in various corners. On the note of the terrain patch outside, I'm near certain it was either Northern Roads or Landscape Fixes for Grass Mods that conflicted with it at the entrance. Call me masochistic, but since I've learned a bit about how to use xedit and the creation kit, I actually kinda enjoy going in and Patching up things I find out of place sometimes, but I'm not quite confident enough to be putting them out for public use. I know they patch MY Load Order, but can't guarantee for anyone else...lol Anyway, thanks for the Mod! Had a good time in it! Oh! And the exit has a promontory of rock there with a glorious view! Beautiful!
Hey thanks for the follow-up! Im pleased you had fun with it! I too am nostalgic for Oblivion, and this dungeon was definitely made in effort to feel Oblivion-esc. Claustrophobic corridors were a prominent feature of Oblivion's dungeons, after all. Anyway, I love hearing from players and getting the opportunity to see things from their perspective. Thank you again for your kind words and honest reactions.
Wow there's so much to find, I haven't found the 1h sword yet. I actually found the dungeon by running into the outlet instead of going to the mine entrance. I did see some modded weapons about from a different mod and I'm actually a little worried some items may have been replaced
Hey xndrive, thanks for your question. SPOILER ALERT: If you face the false entrance, turn right and walk up the hill untill you run into fallen trees. Behind the fallen trees is the real entrance (click on the ladder).
Hey RoselnValley, thanks for your question. I currently have no plans to change these requirements as they are integral to the dungeon. I would essentially need to rebuild the dungeon if I were to remove these requirements.
Does the dungeon delete items if you don't get them the first time? I've found SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER The full armor set and the axe, and I need to go drop some stuff off at my house. Am I safe to pick up other items later, or will the reset remove them?
Hey thanks for your input! I admit I have heard about this incompatibility but I haven't looked into it yet. (I also have never made a patch like this so I'll have to figure it out, too!) Life has gotten busy since I released this mod and I haven't been able to invest much time to fixing things. Thank you for being patient and cordial, though.
This mod is fantastic! Ayleid ruins are such fun to delve into. Anyone reading, I apologize for spoilers for anyone who hasn't started yet.
I have discovered most of the masterwork pieces, and feel as though I have searched most thoroughly for a few hours. I've found: armor, shield, gauntlets, helm, boots, Warhammer, bow, dagger, war axe, and battleaxe. I would love to know if I am missing any others.
Hey thank you for your kind words! I always love to hear from players who enjoy what I made!
As far as other gear to find, (SPOILERS INCOMING...) there is also the Masterwork Alyied 1h sword to be found. The 2h sword and mace can be found after the dungeon resets.
