Nestled within the crumbling remains of an ancient watchtower perched high upon a mountain pass, High Tavern is a quiet refuge harboring dark secrets. Adds an inn and three Radiant dungeons to the mountain pass between Whiterun and Ivarstead.

High Tavern is an inn with three Radiant dungeons on the mountain pass between Whiterun and Ivarstead. Because it's part of the Radiant system, it's eligible to be assigned to a variety of Vanilla quests as well as interact with mods like Missives, Sidequests of Skyrim and Extended Encounters as well as followers who assign quests like Hoth. If you do have those mods installed, you'll occasionally encounter a variety of random patrons including thieves, vampires, beggars, scavengers and more. I highly recommend both mods.

NOTES

The inn and dungeons are navmeshed, so bringing a follower won't be an issue. The dungeons are small to medium size and are meant to equate with something like Redoran's Retreat or Embershard Mine, similar to my Lost Passages dungeons. The dungeons can be assigned by a variety of Radiant quests like Ancient Technology, Fetch Me That Book! and more.

If you can't find the tavern...

... it's on a little-used mountain pass between Whiterun and Ivarstead. If you travel toward Valtheim Towers from Whiterun, you will see rock cairns on the right when you reach the Ritual Stone. Walk straight toward the mountains to the right and you will find the path. It's sometimes hard to follow, and full of switchbacks, but look for the footsteps in the snow.

... the tavern has a barkeep, an innkeeper and a bard. As noted above, it interacts well with mods that add NPCs and works with Radiant, so there may be other people there drinking. The dungeons are a Vampire Lair (min lvl 6), a Bandit Lair (min lvl 6) and an Animal Lair (min lvl 12).

Note that High Tavern Hall and Silkshadow Pools are joined by a load door, but they are two separate Radiant dungeons. If you want, you can complete a quest in one, then go back out the way you came and wait until you have a quest in the other.

I built this just for fun to break up that first monotonous run from Whiterun to Ivarstead.

COMPATIBILITY

There is a compatibility issue with Forgotten Dungeons, it kind of merges the towers together but it actually doesn't look bad. There is a patch for this under Requirements. I've tested with other popular dungeon packs and have found no additional issues. If you find a issue, feel free to post it. I can't guarantee I can write a patch, but I'll at least list it here.
