-The Raven Tri Shape, audio and textures are from Mihails Raven mod. I remade and cleaned and re-organized the mesh extensively with the help of Hana a well known and respected mesh mod author. Together we spent weeks fixing and improving the mesh. Please note that the ghost textures and meshes I personally created but the dead raven mesh however is one that I made based on a version of the dead raven Hana created. Mihail gave me permission to use the tri shapes and in return I gave him the fixed mesh I do not know if he has used it yet though or plans on using it. The Pheasant meshes, textures, and audio were unaltered and were given to me to use by Mihail as well. Big special thanks to Mihail for all his wonderful work and art.
-Also special thanks to Iroh who provides creative feedback during development and talked out my idea for ghost ravens with me.
-The Seagulls meshes, audio and textures come from Mr. Siika who has created the original meshes as a community resources for anyone to use. Please see recourse page: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3322. Placement of Seagulls was *inspired by the mod Seagulls of Skyrim by the mod Author Preeum. That said nothing from Preeum's mod was used in my mod all placements were done manually by me. Please note that I have this mod earning DP and all DP for a interim will be going to Preeum - that is out of love and respect for him as he is going through a hard patch and could use a little extra scratch so maybe my DP will help him. I will eventually roll DP back over to me however. The dead Seagulls however I made myself which are the seagulls that you interact with when you shoot one down. All codding is mine as well I spent a moth writing it to get it right. The feather texture I created as well so that's mine too.
-Again similar to Seagull placement, placement of additional hawks, flocks of birds, and bat colonies were inspired by the mod Birds and flocks, that said however I did manually place the birds and flocks myself and in some cases added more birds in some areas and less in others were I thought it made sense. This is my own take of that mod. In any case I reached out to XilaMonstrr to let them know I used their placement for the mod Birds and Flocks to inspire my placement - they stated there was no issue with that.

Changelogs
Version v1.02
Its a nothing update really. What I did was mainly to the BSA only. So basically I re-did the cubemaps for the eyes of the birds so they use BC3 compression. Using BC7 compression these cube maps flag a error in nifscope (older versions of it do newer I dont think actually flag a error) But its a nothing error that can be ignored in anycase. The main benefit of BC3 is that the cub maps dont need to be BC7 there is no value in it and as a BC3 compression they are smaller in physical data size so overall it made the BSA mod package a little small so it takes up a little less space on the hard drive. I also re-packed the BSA (I had to after editing textures) and made sure that everything was compressed minus audio of course which I think in the old original BSA archive I had some other items were not compressed so again via compression it just made everything a bit smaller on the hard drive. Think of it as a physical space optimization lol nothing to the mod was changed at this time. That said im thinking of fixing up bird nests so their names match the type of nest etc maybe some other fun updates here and there as time goes on but thats future stuff.
FYI I updated the version number on the optional files too just to make sure its in line with the latest version so your mod manager doesnt flag it as outdated or something. but otherwise the optional files were not changed. just the version number was changed.
Version v1.01
Updated the patch to remove all Ravens on Windhelm bridge and a single raven in the Windhelm graveyard to accommodate for 2 mods: "FYX" and "City Entrances Overhaul Windhelm."
Updated the main file via moving 1 hawk nest at Sundered Towers in the Rift down to accommodate for users that use vanilla un-moded trees. If you use Happy Little Trees or really any tree mod the nest should sit fine its just with vanilla trees that the nest was too high. If you are not using vanilla trees you do not need to update.
Description This mod will add Ravens, Pheasants, and Seagulls all over the world. Additionally flocks of birds and bats flying around have been placed as random encounters to stumble on. Bone Hawks have been given a unique audio and more of them have been placed in Skyrim close to Vampire lairs and in the Soul Cairn. Ghosts ravens have also been placed Soul Cairn as well. Finally there have been numerous newly placed hawks around Skyrim and Hawk nests. All nests, and birds can be killed and looted. Seagulls will go to sleep at night and come back out in the morning.
I plan to have a ongoing nature series were I will release mods enhancing the nature of Skyrim. This part is focused on birds but other future parts will focus on flowers, Deer, and spiders.

Whats Included I will keep this direct and simple this mod does the following:
Dyndolod LOD rules for Seagulls, vanilla Hawks, and undead Bone Hawks have been made in this mod
405 Seagulls have been placed in Skyrim and Solstheim - Seagulls go to sleep at 9pm and wake up at 6am
72 ravens have been placed around Skyrim (they are walking around scavenging and perched looking around they are not flying)
77 new flocks of birds flying around have been placed around Skyrim
20 new colonies of bats have been placed flying around Skyrim
62 new vanilla Hawks have been placed flying around Skyrim
12 Pheasant flocks have been placed in Skyrim in addition there is a 15% chance to find one in the wild at any time anywhere you can find Red Foxes or Hares (forests and swamps in tall grass)
33 Undead Bone Hawks have been placed around Skyrim flying around Vampire Dens and in the Soul Cairn. By vanilla the only Bone Hawks are at the Vampire Castle. I have also added unique audio to them that I custom made.
18 Ghost Ravens have been added to the Soul Cairn - Ravens are regarded by many cultures to walk between the worlds of life and death and to that end it felt fitting to include a few phantom versions in the Soul Cairn
21 Hawk nests with lootable eggs have been placed around Skyrim near the newly placed Hawks exists. By vanilla only 3 Hawk Nests existed and they were all at the Hearthfire Homes.
Mod is a true ESL extension mod
All newly added birds have unique audio calls that they will make and can be killed and looted
Mod can have any and every mod overwrite it
Mod can be installed mid game or on a new game

Compatibility -This mod is stand alone no patches are required. Will you always be able to see all the birds regardless of where you place this mod in your load order and regardless of any mod you have overwriting this mod. The only 2 mods on nexus I don't recommend using with this mod are "Birds and Flocks" and "Seagulls of Skyrim" I used those mods as inspiration for placement so the sky's will be very busy with those installed and birds will likely run into each other or cause double vision. Outside of these two every single other mod on nexus is compatible as a rule. If a exception to the rule is found I would make a patch for it and post the exception here.
-That stated the only existing exception to this rule is the mod "City Entrances Overhaul - Windhelm" and the FYX series mod which fully remove or fundamentally change vanilla objects. Therefore I have created a single patch file that removes all the ravens on Windhelm bridge and 1 raven in the Windhelm graveyard to account for these 2 mods. These mods are the only exception to the rule at this time that im aware of.
Required Files and Installation -Only Skyrim is Required (Any Version - VR, SE, AE, 1.5.9.7, latest version doesn't matter) -Set this mod to the top of your load order right after the DLC's and let every mod you have overwrite it -Mod can be installed on a existing game or new game
