About this mod
This is a texture replacer for the Web Mother introduced in the Creation Club content “The Contest”. An optional patch gives it a chance to spawn instead a Giant Frostbite Spider, plus hand places the Web Mother in some specific locations.

The Web Mother is a unique Frostbite Spider encountered in Cronvangr Broodlair during the Creation Club quest Caught in a Web. This mod retextures her with more depth and more vibrant, frightening fantasy-type colors.
The optional patch provided also injects the Web Mother into leveled lists so she will sometimes spawn instead of the standard Giant Frostbite Spider. The patch also hand-places the Web Mother in some specific locations.
Divergence by TXTEC (pronounced Toe-tech for those who might be wondering) began as an Armor, Weapons & Clothing recoloring mod for Vanilla and Creation Club Content, inspired by Variations by Sforzinda. It started in an effort to bring some consistency and vibrancy to the world of Skyrim, providing upscaled and cleaned textures at its base, then recoloring for a cohesive visual experience.
Divergence has since grown to include many more mods to retexture components of Skyrim in the same style. These mods are meant to be darker than Vanilla Skyrim while still giving the items a richer, more colorful appearance. A few examples of the many Divergence mods: Divergence – Luxuriant (trees and plants), Divergence – Clothing (non-armor clothing), Divergence – Myriad of Miscellanea (coins, banners, silverware, and much more), Divergence – Brilliant Bijouterie (jewelry), and Divergence – Compendium of Beasts (animals and monsters).
This mod was designed as an addon for Divergence – Compendium of Beasts.

Installation
- Use a mod manager, or download and drag the contents into the Data folder.
Compatibility
- The main retexture mod should be compatible with everything.
- The optional distribution patch uses scripted injection for the level list edits and will not conflict with other edits. This patch also edits 4 NPCs, so other edits made to those same NPCs will conflict.
