About this mod

I am happy to present the most diverse and realistic grass overhaul ever seen. By using the unrivaled assets of Dr. Jacopo’s 3D Grass Library, I deliver an extraordinary experience that faithfully preserves and immortalizes the real-world environments from which Skyrim was inspired.

WHAT FREAK'S FLORAL FIELDS DOES:

Diversity comes to mind at the least, when you use FFF.

This mod overhauls all of Skyrim's grass in very careful and accurate manner. Every region is unique to its own, and will be sure to make the user feel a level of immersion like no other

Now with FFF 3.0 Dirt Cliff grass implementation is here!!

"With up to 26 different configurations to choose from as well as a Seasons compatibility in the fo-mod installer, you will not be short of options. And there will be more to come!"

NB: This mod does not add or alter landscape textures.

For now on version 3.0, you will have all pine cliffs with grass added! the next updates will implement the all other areas in the game!

NB: Choosing Seasons in fo-mod will not allow you to further customize FFF as well as cliffs(cliffs will receive seasons support soon)

You will get to choose from the following:

Tundra: 6 options

- FFF Mix: Mimics real world tundra like landscapes by combining brown, green and red grass to give the most diversity possible.

- Realistic Tundra: Uses accurate and specific real world tundra like plants to provide a rugged and diverse realistic tundra landscape.

- Green and Dead Mix: Beautifully combines the concepts of the all green and all dead into one for those who like a little bit of both.

-All flower Tundra: For all the flower enjoyers. Beautiful flower fields, with a perfect balance of a variety of different flowers and plants.

- All Green Tundra: All green tundra, the greener, the better?

- All Dead Tundra: All dead tundra, to cater to those who want something closer yet slightly different to vanilla.

Pine: 6 options

- FFF Pine: The classic FFF pine, which aims to deliver the most diverse pine biome seen to date. Combines very overgrown grasses with shorter grass types.

-Realistic Pine: Absolute perfection. Experience the pine as close to real life as possible with realistic pine. Surrounded by leaves and little amounts of plants, this option will make your time in the pine worth your while.
NB-This option matches best with pine dirt cliffs.

-Short Pine: A shorter pine variant which is more tame. Maintains the FFF vibe but is more subtle.

- Ferntastic Pine: Imagine FFF pine but more extreme, this option creates a breath taking dense and overgrown forest look that will make you feel lost. Filled with ferns, tall fern like trees and much more.

- Pine Meadows: Beautiful pine meadows composed of lush grass and carefully placed flowers with little amounts of cluttered plants.

- Relaxed Pine: A pine version similar to the pre-release version of FFF, that was in test builds. Very subtle yet lush looking pine flora.

The Rift: 4 options

-FFF Rift: A magical mix of all grass colors, blended carefully and precisely to give the classic FFF style rift.

- Realistic Rift: The rift redesigned to match your usual fall forest. Drowned in leaves, with beautiful grassy and subtle diversity depending on your location.

-All Green: An all green lush rift for users who want to match with trees that come in green.

-All Dead: A more dead type rift for those who want to match with yellow and orange tree colors.

The Marsh: 3 options

-Realistic Mix:
Achieves a more diverse and natural look by recreating swampy areas based on real-life observations. By combining both green and brown grass, this approach allows you to experience the marsh in all its glory. This option is less traditional, but more realistic.

-All Dead: Provides users with a completely desolate and dark marsh environment by eliminating green grass, aligning with the overall gloomy ambiance of the marsh. This option maintains a more traditional and vanilla appearance but offers less realism.

-Marsh Ultra: An extremely dense and diverse marsh that'll drown you in a variety of plants and flora.

The Reach: 3 options

-All Green: Experience the Reach in a lush and vibrant atmosphere with an all green selection. This option matches open and spacious grassy areas and is great for those who enjoy realism.

-All Dead: An all dead reach option for those who want to opt for a more vanilla look with their game.

-Mixed Reach: Very unique blend of dead and green grasses which some slight extra color palettes, my personal favorite.

Volcanic Tundra: 2 options

-Default: Basic FFF style setup, with good variety yet maintains the dry volcanic vibe.

- Volcanic Wasteland: This is the real deal. Absolute peak. Diversity, ashy, red and brown dry look, which embodies the style of the volcanic tundra.

Snow Grass: 2 options

- White Snow Grass: The default, suited for those who want a more dramatic grass color in the snow areas.

- Brown Snow Grass: A more natural dead grass type.

INSTALLATION & LOAD ORDER.

The install order depends on whether or not users pick the Seasons compatibility option within the Fo-mod.

NB: Freak's Floral Fields must not be used with any other grass mods that redo the games grass. The only other environmental mods that should be used with FFF are plant replacers, which are loaded after if used. You must also not use a pre existing grass cache, meaning you will have to either disable or re run your NGIO. If using the cliffs options, you will need to disable or re run Dyndolod, not doing so will result in no cliff grass.

For Seasons users:

(Both the mods and plugins should be loaded in this order)

-  Any snow system, ex: Better Dynamic Snow, Simplicity of Snow

Seasons of Skyrim

-Any tree mods compatible with seasons

-Seasonal Landscapes

-Cathedral - 3D Grass Library - Meshes  (ONLY the meshes file!)

FAQ:

1- I see textgen and dyndolod errors saying missing textures, is that normal?

- Yes, you can ignore those they're just unused textures kept in for future use.

2- What IMin grass size do I need?

- 60, the mod was built off 60, and the esps do all the work in terms of density, any other value is something outside the scope of what this mod was made to be.

3- I have X problem, why?

- Please note it is impossible for me to be able to solve all user issues because most of the time, issues are on the users end, in terms of install, load order or lod settings. If you have any issue be sure to join the discord and chat out as its much easier to see, or post in the bugs tab.

4- My lod doesn't look good, why?

- Grass LOD is something I will unfortunately be unable to assist with, for various reasons. Due to the complex grass, each lighting setup will have and need a unique and customized set of Text gen and Lod gen values, in other words, what works for me will not work for you. So all i can say is, if you really want LOD, grab a drink and snack, sit back, and play around with it until you get something that works for you!

Huge thanks to the legend Coffee_2A for the help with the Seasons testing and tweaking, saved me a lot of time!!!
