Two-handed Dragonbane that fires Bloodskal projectiles with Dragonrend's effect. A fitting weapon for a true drake warrior.

Description:
Adds a glass level two-handed katana with custom Dragonbane and Bloodskal effect and red Dragonbane visual effect.

This is inspired by the Dragon-Hunter's Great Katana hence the name great katana instead of odachi.

I made this specifically for my other mod but it is not required for this to work. It is just for roleplaying or whatever.

The other mod: Curse You Bayle

Maybe someday someone will create an armor mod for a true drake warrior.

I forgot to rename the DAC config so it is just named test.toml. Just in case you see it and wonder where it is from. If you want you can rename this file to anything it doesn't matter DAC will read it as long as it is a toml file.


Update 1.1:
Added basic version without Dragonrend projectile effect and does not require Dragonrend shout to craft.

Original version renamed to Dragon Hunter's Great Katana.

No Dragonrend version named Dragon Hunter's Katana in crafting menu.


Update 1.2:
Added plugin to remove the enchantment visuals from both swords. The red lightning on the blade was causing a glitch for me where my character become invisible on specific spots in interiors.

This plugin includes all changes from update 1.1.


Dragon Hunter's Great Katana - Custom two-handed katana. Glass level damage. Steel level upgrade. Craftable at a forge using a blades sword and a few steel and gold ingots. Only craftable if you have Dragonrend shout.



Weapon model is created by sarayel and converted by volodavkaa.

Igon's Revenge - Behold, a true drake warrior. Custom enchantment.

Modified Dragonbane effect and visuals. 40 extra damage to dragons and 15 magic damage to non-dragons (on hit visual effect is fire). Red lightning visuals on weapon like Dragonbane.

Combined Bloodskal and Dragonrend. Power attacks shoot a projectile that deals 50 damage and applies Dragonrend effect for 10 seconds. Costs 80 magicka
Uses Dynamic Animation Casting NG so this is not actually an enchantment attached to the weapon it is two spells that trigger depending on the power attack direction.

Projectile range and speed higher than vanilla Bloodskal projectile. Only affects dragons, will not damage or aggro anything else.

Projectile orientation is the same as vanilla Bloodskal Blade. Standing and forward power attacks fire vertical. Backwards and sideways fire horizontal. This is mostly just aesthetic and the hitbox is much larger than the visual effect you see.

If you feel like this is overpowered you can remove the SKSE folder from this mod's archive or don't install Dynamic Animation Casting. The Dragonbane effect will still apply but the Bloodskal projectiles will not trigger. Update to version 1.1 for a basic version without this effect.

I could not make the Dragonrend explosion visual effect be completely red so only the small light particles are red. I also could not change the Bloodskal projectile trigger sound effect. I kept attaching different sound records to the spells and projectiles but they don't seem to work.

Compatibility:
Only one record is dependent on a vanilla asset, the on hit sound effect of the projectile uses the sound of Bane of the Undead spell so any mod that replaces that sound will affect this weapon's power attack projectile.

Every other record is standalone and should not conflict with anything.

The orientation of the projectiles are dependent on power attack events. If you have a mod that replaces power attack animations it is not guaranteed that the projectiles will line up properly. For example if a mod replaces forward power attack animation with a diagonal slash the projectile will still be vertical.
