About this mod
This mod adds 23 new dragon types across the leveled lists and reunites my previous combat mods in one!. All the dragons have custom models made by me; expect to find dragons spitting sand, poison, electricity, infectious substance, lifedraining blood, and a few really scary high level dragons! Their breath and melee attacks will be devastating.

¿Ever felt vanilla skyrim is lacking in the dragon variety department? There are only fire and frost dragons; and a very limited number of them (only 8!). And also, why not say it: they can be underwhelming and small.
This mod adds 23 new huge dragon types across the leveled lists; making up for a total of 127 new dragons. All the dragons added have custom breath effects by yours truly (sand, poison lightning, sickness, sunlight, Magic, blood, acid, coldfire, ash... Each with ut's own unique propierties). IMPORTANT: THIS MOD DOES NOT RETEXTURE OR REMODEL THE ORIGINAL DRAGONS. Only the ones added by the mod will get the new models. So, if you want the vanilla models to be replaced with similar models; you need my other mod; Dragon Models Modernized and Redesigned. On the other hand, this also means you can combine this mod along with the original dragon models or other dragon replacers for the original dragons, like the game of thrones ones, if you so choose. You don't need to make use of the models I made if you don't like them, I added a standalone version in optional files that makes use of retextured vanilla models for the new dragon species.
Most of the dragons can be found at all levels, but 7 of them ,the really powerful ones, will start appearing only after a certain point.
This mod also reunites my previous combat mods (better dragon breath and better dragon melee) all in one!. Their breath and melee attacks will be devastating; dealing aoe explosive damage and leaving extensive elemental surfaces in the ground. Each elemental surface will have it's own properties, like the breaths. Also, the dragons will be able to sweep the battleground with their wing and tail attacks.
Lastly, if you install Majestic Dragons your dragons will be larger and with better proportions.
ARDENT DRAGON (Added in 1.1): This dragon breathes fire with a very explosive effect. The breath itself will do less damage, but the explosions will add to it. The explosive damage will go through your magical wards. Their explosive breath will also send many NPCs flying. Their bites will also do aditional firey damage. It emanates a fire aura that deals damage to enemies at close distance. Fire and magical resistance will come in handy against theese foes.
SAND DRAGON: This dragon is one of the most common ones. It appears at any level. It's sand attack generates a lot of dust, staggering and interrupting visibility, but it won't generate surfaces. It's breath attack deals pure magical damage.
This dragon has a unique combat style: he will land often and heavily favor melee combat, as it is sturdy and robust and will resist 50% of physical damage.
VENOMOUS DRAGON: It's colorful skin is indicative of it's dangerous poison; The venomous dragon will deal poisonous damage to your health and stamina, and can only be resisted with resist poison enchantments or potions. It's breath will leave nasty poisonous surfaces in the ground that deal a lot of damage overtime, and last for quite a bit. This dragon will be resistent to poison.
INFECTIOUS DRAGON: The vile appereance of the infectious dragon is very fitting; this dragon will spit a disgusting and highly infective disease breath, which can only be resisted with disease resistance, and can make you feel sick draining your stamina, and nullifying your health regeneration for a few seconds.
The surfaces it leaves in the ground will deal a nasty amount of damage overtime, similarly to the venomous dragon. This dragon is inmune to disease.
CAUSTIC DRAGON:The beautiful but deadly caustic Dragon is rather common and you will find it at all levels. It exhales an acidic breath that will damage your armor and will make you temporarily more vulnerable to melee and physical attacks. It has some magic resistance.
COLDFIRE DRAGON: The unique coldfire dragon strikes with the power of two elements, fire and frost. It's breath it's composed of blue firefrost flames. It will deal damage overtime like fire breath, but also will drain stamina and slow down like frost breath, half the damage dealt will be cold and half fire.
The blue flame walls it leaves in the floor will function in the same way. It is resistant to both fire and frost damage. It will prefer flying and flyby attacks.
MAGICAL DRAGON:The magical dragon breathes pure magicka beams draining both your health and magicka in equal manners and impariring your magicka regeneration; and can only be resisted with resist magicka potions, enchantments, and perks.
It's breath will affect a slightly larger area than usual and it will generate dangerous magical surfaces in the ground. He might also use fireball and frost storm shouts, attacking you from a long distance and dealing damage in a large area. His bite will deal aditional shock damage. It emanates a shock aura that deals damage to enemies at close distance. This dragon is a 40% resistant to magic attacks.
PYROCLASTIC DRAGON: The dangerous Pyroclastic Dragon breathes a concussive stream of extremely hot ash and pyroclasts; that will make all the objects that contact with it burn.This breath will explode generating lots of hot ash, obstructing vission and staggering. This dragon is very resistant and favors fighting in the ground, where he will use plenty of melee attacks.
His breath will also nullify your stamina regeneration for a few seconds. He can also spit fireballs from a distance. His attack can be partly resisted with resist fire potions, enchanted gear, and perks.
RADIANT DRAGON :This dragon breathes the power of the sun; dealing extra damage to undead. His attack is purely magical. The light rays he breathes are so potent that will make everyting it contacts with blaze in flames.
Resist magic can help resisting the breath, and resist fire can help with the fire barriers he will generate while breathing.
BLIZZARD DRAGON: The blizzard dragon strikes with the force of the wind; it's cold breath can stagger his enemies, and there's a chance he will breath a whirlwind at his enemies that will hit everything it comes across with, similarly to the ice storm spell.
This dragon is resistant to frost damage.
ELECTRIC DRAGON:The electric dragon will breath high voltage electricity at you. It will generate small shockwaves that will deal a bit extra damage, (The explosive damage will go through your magical wards!) and drain your magicka.
It's breath will leave lots of electrical surfaces in the ground. This dragon is inmune to shock attacks, and emanates a shock aura that will deal electric damage overtime to those close to it.
AQUATIC DRAGON: This dragon breathes hot steam to beat his enemies. The steam surfaces he generates will stagger you and your allies. It's breath can be resisted with resist fire and resist magic. He is resistant to both fire and frost damage, but he is vulnerable to shock damage. Lastly, he is able to swim and breath underwater.
Skyracer Dragon: This dragon is faster than usual and uses both frost breath and lightning breath. It's aura emanates both cold and electricity, and it is resistant to both elements. It prefers flying and flyby attacks.
Nocturnal Dragon:
This dragon exhales purple flames that deal a 50% more damage at night and that can be resisted with resist fire or resist magic. The flames have a concussive effect that will knock down the NPCs. It has a slight resistance to magic. Becareful if you fight it at night!
Emerald dragon:
This dragon is resistant to poison and has a slight resistance to magic. It exhales both green flames and poison. The green flames will nulify all your regens (healfh, magicka and stamina) and can only be resisted with resist magic. The poison breath will damage both your health and stamina, and can only be resisted with resist poison enchantments perks or potions. Both breaths will leave surfaces in the ground that are to be avoided.
It's terrifying appereance will make enemies (npcs) run away in fear.
METALIC DRAGON (APPEARS AFTER LVL 27):The metalic dragon is a special one; it's skin it's coated with an aleation that makes it heavier than usual, but also way more resistant, having a 50% more health than other dragons.
On the other hand, this means this dragon will choose to rest more often (it will perch and land more often than normal), but will prioritize using it's deadly breath composed of red electromagnetic energy. Part of it can be resisted with resist shock, but not all of it. It will leave dangerous electromagnetic surfaces that will paralyze you for a few seconds if you enter in contact with them.
This dragon is resistant to shock damage and it's skin emanets an electromagnetic aura that deals electric damage overtime.
VAMPIRIC DRAGON (APPEARS AFTER LVL 36): While some dragons seek to be gods and adored themselves or adore Alduin; theese abominations sold themselves to Molag Bal while seeking increased power and ethernal youth. They mantain their eternally young bodies draining life from it's victims.
As you can imagine a life draining dragon is an extremely hardcore enemy. It's life draining breath counts a pure magical attack, only magic resistance will protect you from it.
This dragon also inmune to poison and disease, and resistant to frost damage.
BLACK DRAGON (APPEARS AFTER LEVEL 59)
Only second to Alduin, the Black Dragon is a force to be reckoned. It is extremely rare and powerful. Not only it deals more physical damage than usual, it's bite and tail attacks deal firey damage. It's flames burn hotter than usual and will make enemies run away in fear; and are very explosive, knocking down enemies (not you) and dealing extra physical damage.
But what makes this monstruosity truly be formidable it's it's insane resistance to magic, as it is able to resist 75% of a spell's effect. It's posible the best way to end this dragon is a big sword, if you are brave and heroic enough to get close and personal. It's resistant to fire. It emanates a very hot aura that deals damage to all nearby enemies.
INSTALLATION: PLUG AND PLAY.
Recommendations: Load it with the highest priority you can, specially if you use other dragon mods and those edit the leveled lists. The only dragon mods with higher priority (thus, that should be loader after) should be this mod's patches (or better breath ones) majestic dragons, and dragon models modernized. If you use dragons use thu um, you can also load it after, but be sure to use it's patch.

GAMEPLAY CHANGES:
- Essentially; better dragon breath added 20 ft AoE to all dragon breath attacks, and gave them explosive visuals and sounds. It gave the "ball" attacks a much larger area of effect. It also made dragon breath generate a lot of elemental surfaces corresponding to the breath type, filling the battlefield with fire, frost, poison, acid, coldfire...Generally whatever they spit will leave nasty surfaces.
- Regarding better dragon melee: The dragon melee attacks covered wider angles and dealt AOE, the bite attack staggered and the wing and tail attacks could stagger you and knock down NPCs. All attacks had more bloody vfx and the wing and tail attacks generated lots of dust. This mod also made dragons faster and more agile in the ground, as well as protected them from NPC attacks by giving the dragons extra resistance to them. Lasty the dragons will have a 75% more HP than in the original game.
Now, to the new dragons!

THE HIGH TIER DRAGONS: You will only find them at high levels.
UNDEAD DRAGON (APPEARS AFTER LVL 27:
This dragon has been granted undeath and necromantic abilities due to a pact with the ideal masters, the rulers of the soul cairn. It breathes a putrid and poisonous breath, that leaves nasty poisonous surfaces; and he is able to summon undead allies (they will grow in power depending on your level). This dragon is inmune to poison and disease and resistant to frost damage. It's terrifying appereance will make enemies (npcs) run away in fear.

LEECH DRAGON: This vile dragon absorbs health, and half the amount of stamina and magicka, but will do less damage.

- Op1: Use mod manager option and install it with your mod manager (vortex or mod organizer, I use mod organizer)
- Op 2: Paste the content of the 7zip in game's data directory in the game's installation folder.
Recommendations: Load it with the highest priority you can, specially if you use other dragon mods and those edit the leveled lists. The only dragon mods with higher priority (thus, that should be loader after) should be this mod's patches (or better breath ones) majestic dragons, and dragon models modernized. If you use dragons use thu um, you can also load it after, but be sure to use it's patch.

2)Install the other one
3)Install the Patch with higher priority than both/ overwrite.

(To use Epic Dragon Combat, Deadly dragons, and Dragons use thu 'um all at the same time)
Installation instructions:
1)install deadly dragons
2)install epic dragon combat
3)install epic dragon combat DD patch
3)install dragons use thu um
4)Install the three way patch.
Dragon Combat Overhaul Patch:
Instructions:
1)Install Epic Dragon Combat or dragon Combat overhaul.
2)Install the other one.
3)Install the patch.
This patch can be used in conjunction with all the previous ones.
EXTRAS:
- The mod is lightweight.
- It has great sinergy with my other mods.
- It is SAFE to add and update migdame. (Tested)
- It greatly enhaces dragon variety and makes the battles vs them more strategic.
