Permissions and credits
A pair of twin Stalhrim greatswords, forged by Atmoran settlers on Solstheim  during a frostfall night where both moons glowed an eerie blue  at the time of the early stages of the Atmoran migrations to Tamriel. In honor to the myths of the twins Filnrig and Rhainna, who were forever lost in a magical Blizzard, said to represent the twin moons of Nirn. Made of a rare refined form of Stalhrim which was once made in the lands of Atmora with a long forgotten ritual during the winter solstice to imbue it with the properties of the chill of the long night. Prized for its darker coloration, eerie glow and ability to more easily hold onto the effects of powerful enchantments.  The blade of  Filnrig representing Masser being a large and cumbersome blade that hits with tremendous force but too heavy for even the half-giants to wield with one hand , The other the blade of  Rhainna  being a slender and swift blade, easily able to be wielded In either one or two hands.

Over the eras the two greatswords passed between the hands of many a chieftain, conqueror, brigand and champion. Serving in many a battle often being separated for many years but somehow always reuniting. During the early years of the 4th era their last known wielders the twins Oleg and Tsuna had gone missing on an expedition to Solsthiem after being sent by the Jarl of Windhelm to aid in the evacuation of Ravenrock and make contact with the Nords of Thirsk and the Skaal during the events of Red Year.

Their last sighting was by a Skaal fisherman, who reported seeing them being dragged to the ruins of Castle Kaarstag by a hoard of Rieklings after being gravely injured during an avalanche set off by the aftershocks of the eruption of red mountain.

Exerpt from the report of Thulgrim "Book-Bearer" Eldenson after his investigation into the early history of Nordic settlers of Solsthiem.

But can your Dragonborn find these lost blades?

Based on the Darkmoon greatsword from Elden Ring and made it due to a sudden urge to make a mod so threw it together last night in a few hours.
Comes with a Heavy and Light Greatsword (Light version can be converted between 1 and 2 handed at a forge)

Suggestions: Pick whichever one fits your playstyle, or both. As for animations they are just greatswords (and 1 handed variant) so use whatever animations you think works best. For vanilla replacer animations I suggest Verolevi's Vanargand Animation series for 1handed, and for 2 handed the Leviathan 2handed animations. As for MCO I suggest giving Black364's Light Greatsword Animations if you can get it up and running.

Enchantment: Darkfrost, A unique enchantment which deals Frost, magicka and stamina damage.

Balance: both are quite powerful weapons, The heavier greatsword being quite heavy, slow and dealing 29 base damage which is 10 more than the light greatsword, but the light version having the exact same base damage in 1 and 2 handed forms, and having fairly swift attacks, same reach and higher critical damage should even things out. Their power should be in line with late game weapons

Crafting: The Light Greatsword can be converted between 1 and 2 handed variants at the forge. Can be upgraded using stahlrim.

Location:
Spoiler:
Show
In the throne room of castle Karstaag, leaning against the throne.
