Comments
- When I created my patch for Riften Extension, I was not aware Complementary Grass Fixes also comes with a patch for it. I also thought that mod was not necessary for my load order, since it is mostly designed for really dense grass mods. As it turned out, I was wrong about the latter, but still decided to keep my patch, especially since it also fixes terrain bleeding into buildings. You may choose either version, but don't use both together.
- The combo patches between Riften Extension and Ryn's Farms are designed for an updated version of the existing patch between those mods, which I unfortunately have not yet got permissions to publish. It should work with the existing patch, although there may exist some floating objects (which you will have also without the grass patch anyway). That doesn't mean I fully recommend to use that patch, because it is outdated and has numerous issues. But it is better than nothing, and the landscape patch is still necessary if you are playing with grass mods.
- I am aware there already exists some patch between Landscape Fixes For Grass Mods and Immersive Fort Dawnguard, but it doesn't actually remove unwanted grass (in fact, the conflict it aims at resolving can be fixed by adjusting the load order, as is clearly stated in the mod's description). My patch does that.
- My COTN Falkreath patches are built on the grass patch found at the official patch hub for COTN Falkreath, and is thus incompatible with other versions. Unfortunately, that patch has a few dirty edits that I recommend clearing out in SSEEdit (otherwise you are likely to get unwanted grass in some places). You should clear out the following cells: (-11, -20), (-10,-21), (-10, -22), (-8, -19), (-7, -19), and (-7, -20).
Compatibility
The patches are compatible with anything that does not edit the same cells as either of the patches. While possible to circumvent by adjusting the load order, it is also unnecessary to use any of the patches with another grass mods patch that edits only a subset of the cells. Therefore, I recommend to pay attention to the following:
- Ryn's Farms_StandingStones_RiftenExt - LFfGM patch.esp should not be used together with Ryn's Farms - Riften Extension - LFfGM patch.esp, Riften Extension - LFfGM patch.esp, Ryn's Farms_RiftenExt_Ryn's Standing Stones_patch.esp, Ryn's_Standing_Stones_Ryn's_Farms_PATCH.esp (the outdated official patch!), or Complementary Grass Fixes - Southwoods Patch.esp.
- Ryn's Farms - Riften Extension - LFfGM patch.esp should not be used together with Riften Extension - LFfGM patch.esp or Complementary Grass Fixes - Southwoods Patch.esp.
- Landscape for Grass Mods - COTN Falkreath_JK_Helgen Reborn.esp should not be used together with Landscape for Grass Mods - COTN Falkreath_JK patch.esp.
- Immersive Fort Dawnguard - LFfGM patch.esp should not be used together with IFD LFFGM patch.esp
- Riften Extension - LFfGM patch.esp should not be used together with Complementary Grass Fixes - Southwoods Patch.esp.
- Dragon Bridge - JK's Skyrim - LFfGM patch.esp should not be used together with Landscape For Grass Mods - Arthmoor's Dragon Bridge PATCH.esp
- Ivarstead - JK's Skyrim - LFfGM patch.esp should not be used together with Landscape For Grass Mods - Arthmoor's Ivarstead PATCH.esp
- Rorikstead - JK's Skyrim - LFfGM patch.esp should not be used together with Landscape For Grass Mods - Arthmoor's Rorikstead PATCH.esp
Load order
- Patches for Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen must load after any corresponding patch for Landscape Fixes for Grass Mods. If not clearing out the recommended landscape records from COTN Falkreath - Grass Mods Patch.esp, then Seasonal Landscapes - Unfrozen.esp needs to load after that mod as well.
- Landscape Fixes For Grass Mods.esp should load after COTN - Falkreath.esp, but before any other base mods used for this collection.
- Ryn's Standing Stones.esp must load after Ryn's Farms Riften extension patch.esp.
- Riften Extension - LFfGM patch.esp, Ryn's Farms - Riften Extension - LFfGM patch.esp, and Ryn's Farms_StandingStones_RiftenExt - LFfGM patch.esp must all load after Riften Extension - OCS patch.esp.
- Ryn's Lumber Mills - LFfGM patch.esp should load after Grass Patch - Fishing.esp. In the Ryn's Lumber Mills patch, grass has been cleared to account for the placement of fishing equipment seen in the Fishing patch at Yet another patch hub for Ryn's Skyrim.
- Landscape and Water Fixes - Patch - LFfGM.esp should load after COTN Falkreath - JKs Skyrim - LAWF Patch.esp and COTN Falkreath - Landscape and Water Fixes Patch.esp (neither of those are included in this collection, but useful to know).
The included modgroups file should further assist with the load ordering.
