The Northshore District expands Riften with more "urban sprawl" beyond the walls. The district includes a new inn, another farm, a cooperage, a plant seller and a butcher to add a little more economic activity to the city. 5 custom voice acted NPCs and a couple small quests add life to the expansion. A modified, and now purchasable, version of the popular house mod "Ruska" is also included.
Northshore is meant as a companion mod to my other Riften expansion "Southwoods District," but either district can be used independently of the other.
Major Features
-5 new buildings with custom interiors to expand Riften
-5 custom voiced NPCs along with 4 other NPCs to fill out the population
-2 small quests to add some gameplay to the district
New Quests
Filling in the Blanks
A group of ill-prepared cartographers have arrived in Riften from Cyrodiil only to realize they aren't cut out for adventuring in the frozen north. Help these academics by doing their work for them and marking down some of the more obscure map markers in the game.
This is a quest meant to be done alongside your regular adventuring, picking up the necessary locations as you go through your playthrough.
The Butcher's Brother
A short miscellaneous quest that can be picked up from Borald, the innkeeper (but you will need to convince him to gossip.) The local butcher's brother is missing and she doesn't seem to want to talk about it. Discover a strange clash of cultures and earn a couple of unique rewards.
Ruska
A slightly modified version of this well known house mod is included as an integral part of the mod. The modifications are mainly to make the home a little more "vanilla-flavored," mainly removing the staff enchanter and anything else that originates in the DLC. The home is also no longer free. Speak to Borald in the Goldenside Perch to purchase it full furnished for 10,000 gold
Compatability
Ruska - Because this is included as part of this mod it is completely incompatible with Ruska being installed separately
Southwoods and Riften Docks Overhaul - Northshore and Southwoods (my other Riften expansion) can be used together with no patch.
If using just Northshore and Riften Docks, just download the patch on this mod's page.
If you want to combine all three, see below
Laketown, etc. - At the moment, all other mods that affect the Riften docks area will likely be incompatible.
Open Cities - Patch found here
JK's - The base JK's AIO for cities should be fully compatible.
JK's Riften Outskirts - Patch available on this page
LOTD - Patch by Jonado provided on this page
Other compatibility notes and patches will be added as issues arise.
