Audio Overhaul for Skyrim SE contains VOLUME SLIDERS for magic, weapons and other categories. If you do not like the volume, I highly suggest you install this as it is compatible with Immersive Sounds instead of leaving comments about your ears being hurt. It will spare both you and I a headache.
UPDATE 10/09/2024 13:26 - Added Katana and Dai-Katana swing sound descriptors and a new KID file to distribute the OCF Katana2H keyword to weapons named Dai-Katana or Katana that have the Greatsword weapon type, in addition to 2H Axe Impacts for Halberds and Glaives! You may need a new save as the .esp has updated.
UPDATE 28/11/2024 03:08 - Adjusted the existing OCF Katana Skypatch to specify for AnimationType too. By default the KCF WeapTypeKatana keyword will distribute one-handed katana swing SFX, but all weapons with the OCF Katana keywords should have relevant sounds based on which type of sword you have. I have also added new Swing SFX for Rapiers, which do not discriminate between one or two-handed variants. I intend to do new 2H rapier swings for the weapons added in Dac0da.
UPDATE 28/11/2024 04:03 - KCF is NO LONGER supported for Katanas. You must have the OCF WeapTypeKatana2H or OCF WeapTypeKatana1H keywords on your katana weapons for my sounds to play.
Special thanks to Zzyxzz for Skypatch because goddamn is that mod amazing.
Tonal Arsenal is a work-in-progress redesign of new sound effects for weapon categories added by other mods. Right now it only adds mpactdatasets and swing descriptors for OCF and KCF keywords, and requires Immersive Sounds Compendium for several descriptors in said datasets. I will potentially change this in the future to skypatch ISC sounds or just create my own, but for the time being you will need all of the above mods for functionality.
Future Weapon Keywords Planned:
Claws
Quarterstaffs
Whips(?)
Wakizashis
Tantos
Scimitars
Scythes
IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:
These sound effects, while only applied to certain keywords will appear on weapons that are not spears, pikes, etc if your keyword framework mods are not distributing correctly. You will need to blacklist weapons that you do not want these sounds to affect and this is not up to me to help you with.
Also, I've noticed that for whatever reason the sounds on the spear impacts aren't picking up properly ingame - they seem a little too quiet. If this is something you also notice do let me know.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Dynamic Impacts by Goshbrindal pairs PERFECTLY with my sound effects. Make sure to use the AOS-ISC version for my recommended setup.
