Description
TL;DR - Non-concentration healing spells gradually heal you. Need to install SkyPatcher. Skip to Spells Affected section.

Healing spells now heal their total amount over the course of 5 seconds instead of instantly adding it to your health in one go. Dual casting the spells doubles the duration and effectively doubling the amount of health restored. With the Respite Perk stamina is also restored over time.

They do not stack. Healing spells of the same type will overwrite each other. I don't know if the second will override the first or the strongest magnitude will always take priority. Either way nothing I can do about that. Just make it a point to only use lower level healing spells if you don't have enough magicka for high level ones.

Fortify Restoration Potions will still increase magnitude of the spells and Fortify Restoration Enchantments will still lower magicka cost.
Scrolls and Staves are unaffected.

Uses SkyPatcher to replace the default Magic Effect records attached to the Spell records. The new Magic Effect records are duplicates of the healing records but have the Power Affects Duration flag instead of the default Power Affects Magnitude flag and has no FX Persist flag so a visual effect is not visible on affected characters while healing is active.

This ensures as much compatibility as possible because it does not directly modify records and the vanilla Magic Effect records remain unchanged for anything else that uses them, either vanilla or modded.


Update 1.1:
Added optional file - Increases all effects' Skill Usage Multiplier

Close Wounds
Grand Healing

Heal Undead

NPCs that use these spells will also have the same effect. Close Wounds is the most commonly used healing spell.


Optional Files:
Adds an explosion to the not so grand looking Grand Healing spell. Attaches a duplicate of Vampire's Bane explosion. It has no force value and sound, it will not throw objects into the air and only the spell's casting sound will be heard. Effective range remains the same. The explosions is purely for aesthetics.
