About this mod
Adjustment of the tempering titles for the 10 temper stages from the Adamant Smithing Addon.
Based on SoulDoubts' "Immersive Tempering Improvement Names for Adamant Smithing Addon" but I changed some titles around and replaced others to offer an improved tempering progression.

It is based on SoulDoubts' "Immersive Tempering Improvement Names for Adamant Smithing Addon".
All I did was edit the titles names and order since I felt that SoulDoubts' version went up to master too quickly and then got stuck with superlatives.
The Adamant Smithing Addon uses 10 tempering levels and at level 10 the effect is the same as at the max. vanilla level of 6.
The point of the Adamant smithing addon is to balance out the tempering progression by adding more stages, so I tried adding more lower rank titles to reflect that Adamant rank 5 would be around the quality of vanilla rank 3.
Requirements:
This mod does not require the mod by SoulDoubt since both replace the same .json file, but you should head over there and leave an endorsment anyway.
(And who knows, maybe you prefer SoulDoubts titles over mine.)
Other than that it has the same requirements as SoulDoubts' mod, namely Adamant and the optional smithing addon and Improvement Names Customized AE or Improvement Names Customized SSE.
There are 2 versions of this mod, just like the original by SoulDoubt:
- One Version without the +X : "Iron Dagger (Fine)
- One Version with the +X: "Iron Dagger (+2 - Fine)
The second version is usefull if my titles are not intuitive enough for you to tell the order of them.
In addition to the first 10 temper titles, this also give generic names to the ranks 11-20 not used by Adamant that might be used if you have other mods affecting tempering or if a mod like WACCF overwrites Adamant in you loadorder (probably want to patch that...). The ranks 11 to 20 are named "Unique I" to "Unique X" as it really isn´t possible to come up with 10 more titles that are beyond legendary and don´t either sound silly or imply things about the player character like "Divine" or "Blessed" etc. These extra titles are more intended as a fallback in case your modding setup goes beyond the intended first 10 levels of tempering.
Overview of the 10 tempering titles:
As you can see, my titles try to match the fact that the 10 Adamant smithing addon stages equal the 6 vanilla stages in strength and avoid sounding too grand too early.
Installation:
Just install with MO2/Vortex or move the files inside the folder into your data folder, so that you get "data/skse/plugins/" as a path for the .json file.
This should overwrite any other mod that alter the temper title .json file, else it will do nothing.
Premission:
Same as with the mod this is based on: Use/modify/upload it however you want, but give credit to SoulDoubt and me.
You can stop reading now, as the rest is just my though-process with each change made:
1: Fine ~> Improved: I wanted to add a new first temper stage to help stretch out the progression. I think "Improved" is a nice step between no improvements and "Fine"
3: Superior~>Remarkable: I added "Remarkable"(worth of being noticed) as a slightly weaker form of "Exceptional"(clearly beyond the ordinary). Also "Superior"(best in its class) is used to early at rank 3 of 10 in my opinion.
4: Masterful~>Exceptional: Same issue as with Superior, 4 of 10 beeing Masterful is too early. Instead "Exceptional" says it is distinct from the common items but not the best or unique.
5: Exquisite~>Superior: I do not like the term "Exquisite" to describe a weapon or armor that is not for ceremonial duties but for combat. It sounds to fragile and luxurious. "Superior" at 5 of 10 marks the top of the regular item grades as the "best of its class" of "mass-produced" items. After this we get into the "special" titles for masterfully crafted items of renown.
6: Flawless~>Masterful: The first title for an item that was created by a master and is clearly in a different category than ordinary items. But not perfect. Keep in mind, that we are only around half way up the temper range, so calling an item "flawless" is a bit too early in my opinion.
7: Wondrous~Flawless: I did not like the word "Wondrous". After all, it is you who created the item. So what are you wondering about? Instead "Flawless" is a good fit here since it is not just made by a master, but might be among the greatest work of said master.
9: Legendary~>Fabled: Legendary should be the last stage to match up with vanilla rank 6. Fabled as a step between epic to legendary felt right to me.
10: Mythic~>Legendary: As stated above, rank 10 equals rank 6 in vanilla with Adamants smithing addon. Therefore I made rank 10 represent that again.
Note: I might have put too much thought into this. As stated in the premissions, if you disagree with anything, just open the .json file in a text editor and change the names to something you prefer.
