Why this mod exists?
If you are an alchemist and have lots of blood collected with Blood Extractor, you shouldn't have to leave Septimus Signus' Outpost to collect it again.
What does this mod do?
It gives you an option to use the blood you already have in your inventory for the purposes of the Discerning the Transmundane vanilla quest.
It also gives you an option to use your own blood, if you are a mer! Wow! Original idea by SergioNitaAjomlotes.
How does it work?
After Septimus Signus gives you the task to collect blood samples - equip CACO's Blood Extractor (or re-equip, if currently equipped).
If you have required type of blood in your inventory, message boxes will start to appear.
If you are of a mer race and extracting own blood is enabled and you haven't yet collected the blood for the quest that matches your blood type — you will also get a message box about extracting own blood.
- If you decide to use blood from your inventory - 1 blood of that type will be removed from your inventory.
- If you decide to extract your own blood - you will lose small amount of HP (configurable). Cool stuff!
Customization
You can customize two things in the console:
Enabling/disabling the extraction of your own blood (getting the message box prompt)
Setting the amount of HP you will lose if deciding to donate own blood
Installation
Requires CACO, duh.
Contains scripts! Do not uninstall mid-game!
Installing mid-game should be fine.
Compatibility
Should be compatible with any mod that doesn't edit CACO's Blood Extractor.
Mods that do edit it will require a patch (for example, CACO Ordinator Alternate Patch before version 1.6)
