About this mod

Uses skypatcher to distribute many modded armors to leveled lists as variants

Changelogs
Uses skypatcher to dynamically distribute modded armors as variants of vanilla armor types. Each armor piece is added to a relevant sublist, so you will end up with armor sets that draw from a variety of armors rather than matching sets. Armors have been placed at appropriate levels based on how their armor values compare to vanilla armors.

Details

The core mod adds the following sublists:
  • Elven Helmet
  • Thalmor Armor
  • Hide Armor
  • Studded Cuirass
  • Ancient Nord Armor (distributed to non-draugr outfits only)
  • Mail Cuirass
  • Fur/Bandit Armor
  • Nordic Carved Armor
  • Glass (new in 1.5)
  • Basic Shields (mix of fur, leather, wood, hide, etc)
  • Iron Shields
  • Iron Banded Shields
  • Steel Shields
  • Steel Plate Shields
  • Elven Shields
  • Dwarven Shields
  • Orcish Shields
  • Ebony Shields
  • Daedric Shields
  • Nordic Shields
  • Stalhrim Shields
By default these sublists contain only vanilla armors, and replace their corresponding armor in level lists and generic outfits. When you have a supported mod installed, it will be added to the proper sublist. This means that supported armors can appear as a variant most places the original would.

An armor being supported doesn't necessarily mean every part of it has been added to the lists. I skipped the vast majority of hoods unless they had a visible armor component. Some gauntlets and boots were also skipped. Below I provide some notes as to how I implemented certain supported armors.

I have extensively playtested this mod.

Installation

I recommend having CC Alternative Armors - Enchanted Variants and Integration load after any other mods that make level list changes, including automated LL patches. My skypatcher changes to vanilla LLs work based on replacement of vanilla items, so having other modifications to the relevant lists might mess with intended behavior.
Additionally, I recommend avoiding any mods that broadly distribute supported armors via SPID. Specific distribution (ie to specific NPCs) is fine. I've included override files for supported mods that come with a SPID file, let my mod overwrite them.
