One dark and gloomy day, I was out in Skyrim, and a Vampire ambushed me. When I looted her body, I found a silver circlet. It made me very angry, as I was playing with mods like Bring Your Silver, Know Your Enemy and whatnot, crafted silver arrows and Silver Bolts for my Vampire hunting journeys. And to see my foe actually having silver in her inventory was not right.
Then I realized that not only Vampires in Skyrim game can have silver - they can also wear it. That was it. An idea emerged in my head. And now, an idea becomes my very first mod that's not a patch or a translation.
What this mod does?
The list of features is small but interesting:
1. If player is a Vampire
- whenever player touches silver items (adds or removes from inventory) and is not wearing handwear - player gets instant health damage
- if player equips a silver item (necklace, circlet, helmet, boots, gloves or armor) - player gets continuous health damage until player unequips the item or dies
- if player equips a silver ring and is not wearing handwear - player gets continuous health damage until player unequips the item or dies
- health damage from equipping silver items is higher depending on the size of the item (ring->necklace->circlet/headwear/handwear/footwear->armor)
- handwear that has open fingers* will not protect from getting health damage
* several handwear items in the game have open fingertips but cover the fingers where rings are supposed to be (Psiijic Gloves, Deathbrand Gauntlets). Wearing these items will protect player from getting silver damage from wearing a silver ring, but not protect from getting damage when touching silver.
2. Feature 1 is supported for Werewolf players too , but disabled by default. To enable it, enter this command in the console:
set VDLS_Werevolves_Enabled to 1
3. Silver items are removed from Vampire NPC's inventories and loot.
(works fine since version 1.2)
Installation and requirements
Requires SkyPatcher.
Main module doesn't touch any Vanilla record ("Make Majni Werewolf Rings Gold" patch touches 4 Werewolf silver rings)
Compatible with everything.
Light esp.
Has scripts, so don't uninstall mid-game.
Mods that add silver items and/or open-finger handwear will require a Skypatcher patch for these items to be recognized by this mod.
Track this mod, because there will be more patches coming.
Patches
I made several patches for the mods I use. If you would like me to add a patch - read the sticky in the comment section.
Alternative Armors - Silver Creation

Master of Disguise - Special Edition
Also, I made patches that require a description
Make Majni Werewolf Rings Gold
If player is Werewolf, player can buy 4 rings from an NPC named Majni. These rings are meant for Werewolves, but ironically, they are made from... silver. In this patch, I change them to be made of gold. Note that their value also increases (x2.5).
Boethiah and Meridia Don't Like Vampires
Now I'm not of them TES lore expert folks, but I heard that Daedric Prince Molag Bal is all for them Vampires. I also heard that Daedric Princes Meridia and Boethiah are not big fans of Molag Bal. Then I assumed that Meridia and Boethiah probably weren't fond of Vampires either.
So with this patch, touching Meridia's Beacon or wearing Boethiah's Ebony Mail will give a Vampire player health damage.
Nine Divines Don't Like Vampires
This patch is for the crusaders of the Divines. With this patch installed, amulets of the nine Divines will be treated as silver by this mod.
Remove Silver from Named Dawnguard Vampires
There are some named Vampires in the game who might end up having silver items in their inventory.
This patch covers 12 Vampires from the Volkihar Keep and the only Orc Vampire in the game, Malkus, replacing LootBanditRandom leveled list in their inventory with LootVampireRandom. As a result, silver items are removed from them.
There are 3 more named Vampire NPCs in the game that might have silver in their inventory, and this patch does not cover them, purposefully.
Replace Silver Mines in Vampire Lairs
I found only one Vampire dwelling that has silver ore mine in it, and that is Bloodlet Throne in Falkreath hold. With this module, the mine will be switched from silver to gold.
This is the only module that requires a new game, or at least haven't been to Bloodlet Throne before this module was installed. Otherwise, the ore deposit will still be silver.
This is a very minor addition to the game, it just didn't feel right that Vampires would choose to live near silver deposits, out of all places.

Wielding Sun Stuff Hurts Vampires
A beautiful mod by Andrealphus. It is compatible with this mod, as it takes a different approach.
WSSHV is more of a metaphysical mod, while this mod is more physical:
- WSSHV detects if a Vampire player wields a silver weapon, or a weapon/spell that is used against the undead.
- This mod detects physical contact of Vampire player's skin with the material of silver.
Nota Bene!
This is why silver weapons or ammo are not covered by this mod. When holding a silver sword, player doesn't touch the silver blade, but the handle that is usually made of leather. When using silver ammo, player's hand is far away from the silver arrow-head.
Assorted Vampire Fixes and Tweaks
This is a great mod that has a feature of replacing silverware in Vampire dwellings with copper or gold variants. A very fitting and logical addition to this mod.

Andre, thank you!
