When retrieving Reyda's Necklace and giving it to Narfi, the beggar in Ivarstead, the necklace will simply disappear into the void. Narfi will not have it in his inventory nor equipped. With some other quests, such as the Argonian Ale quest for Brenuin, the item goes to the NPC's inventory after it is fetched by the player.
This mod changes the script for Narfi's quest so that Reyda's Necklace will go into his inventory after you give it to him, so that you can then pickpocket or kill him to take the necklace. In vanilla it doesn't really matter since the necklace looks like a regular silver ring but there's a beautiful replace for this necklace by avebrave (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/42328) that gives it a unique model, which would make it desirable to obtain.
Keep in mind that just as in vanilla, the quest for Reyda's Necklace cannot be completed if you took the Dark Brotherhood quest to kill Narfi.
