Once again, my OCD has compelled me to fix one of my biggest pet peeves involving one of my favorite Skyrim mods: The weapons.

Granted, I have nothing against the mod creator. He has done an outstanding job creating Star Wars Redux 2022 at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community. As it was a combination of several other mods and he put so much time and effort into making it, he most likely felt too drained to adjust the values of various weapons. So pande4360, if you're reading this, I just saved you a bit of time.

That being said, if you aren't satisfied with the changes, you are welcome to alter this mod as you see fit, assuming pande4360 has no problem with it. Be sure to credit him just to be sure.

Now that we've got that out of the way, allow me to explain what has been changed. Honestly, not much beyond the weapons.

Since I was tired of seeing so many Disney lightsabers, (IE the fact that lightsabers, the most powerful weapons in existence, were reduced to literal glowsticks and not as deadly weapons capable of mutilation) I decided the aim of this project was to make them seemingly more realistic and lore-friendly. Note that most enemies will probably tank a few hits based on your player level. My assumption is that their levels scales along with your own.

All lightsabers now deal 100 damage instead of 20. Since two-handed sabers are heavier and require both hands, they deal double damage (200).

Double-bladed sabers deal 100 damage, as most don't require the use of both hands. I made an exception with Darth Maul's double-bladed saber, since he's a fan favorite. I tend to be somewhat biased, but I tried to make it at least semi-realistic.

Blaster pistols now deal 25 damage. Blaster carbines deal 50. Cycler Rifles (Tusken blaster rifles) deal 75.

Primitive lightsabers, such as the light katana, deal half as much damage (50) as one-handed sabers. The damage of the Z-6 shock baton has been nerfed slightly, since I was tired of constantly getting knocked down and becoming an easy target. Electrostaffs deal 50 damage, as they are rare.

Training sabers have not been edited, for obvious reasons.

Armor has not been edited, as it already seems plenty overpowered. Purge Troopers in particular are nigh on immortal, and making them any stronger would effectively nullify the effectiveness of the weapons that I had 'upgraded'.

That basically covers everything. Special thanks to pande4360 and anyone who helped him create the original mod.

Lore

Although Ulfric and his Stormcloaks defected against the Empire and started their own Jedi Enclave in the province of Eastmarch, Jarl Balgruuf has not picked a side. He knows joining Ulfric would be a mistake, and there is no way to convince him otherwise without the Jarl Balgruuf Dilemma mod.

That being said, let's assume Balgruuf accepts Ulfric's "truce". Put simply, the Stormcloaks and Whiterun have a temporary alliance. To reflect this, I changed clothing of the Jarl's court. Hrongar and Proventus both wear Jedi robes, along with Ireleth, Farengar, the Jarl himself, and Lydia. Balgruuf is essentially the grandmaster. Since Ulfric wears the same clothing, we can assume he is a rogue (Grey) Jedi.

Lydia is now your Padawan. She has learned several Force powers, one of which makes her three times the size of the typical Nord. How she managed to enter Dragonsreach at that size is beyond me. I guess she is so motivated in her duty to protect the Dragonborn that she believes making her larger than giants and dragons will make it much less tedious. Unfortunately for her, she still has a habit of blocking doorways.

The guards in Whiterun are basically mercenaries, or private security. I have yet to change their armor. However, Commander Caius seems to have misplaced his armor. Whether because a crafty pickpocket looted it, or he was getting it repaired, or just decided not to wear any in the first place, who can say?

Eorlund, the blacksmith of the Companions, fancies himself a curator of rare artifacts. He has acquired several iconic lightsabers belonging to some of the most powerful Jedi and Sith across Tamriel. He is willing to part with them for a small fortune. May they serve you well in battle.

Known Issues

Likely a few bugs here and there, but nothing game-breaking, so long as your PC is up to spec.

Lydia will probably be OP as a follower. If you are tired of her showing you up and hampering your skill progression dismiss her or instruct her to wait.

When following Ralof into Helgen Keep, Gunjar will still be wearing his Rebel Armor and not the Jedi robe. They are still lootable, so don't stress out over it too much.
