Convert soul gem fragments to a usable ingredient called soul gem essence. At its core, that's its focus; A means to have a use for fragments. Complete a short quest to unlock recipes for converting essences into soul gems and vice versa.

CS Soul Fragments Plus
=Description=
Convert soul gem fragments to a usable ingredient called soul gem essence. At its core, that's its focus; A means to have a use for fragments. Completing a short quest will unlock the ability to use soul gems for breaking down and creating essences.

To create the ingredient soul gem essence:
smelter + 1 soul gem fragment = 1 soul gem essence
Prerequisites for the following recipes:
Complete a short quest
Enchanting skill of at least 20 OR the Arcane Blacksmith Perk.
(Start the quest by smelting a soul gem fragment - no prerequisite needed)
To create empty gems at smelter:
2 soul gem essence = empty petty soul gem
3 soul gem essence = empty lesser soul gem
4 soul gem essence = empty common soul gem
5 soul gem essence = empty greater soul gem
6 soul gem essence = empty grand soul gem
8 soul gem essence = empty black soul gem
To create filled gems at smelter:
2 soul gem essence + daedra Heart = filled petty soul gem
3 soul gem essence + daedra Heart = filled lesser soul gem
4 soul gem essence + daedra Heart = filled common soul gem
5 soul gem essence + daedra Heart = filled greater soul gem
6 soul gem essence + daedra Heart = filled grand soul gem
8 soul gem essence + human heart + daedra heart = filled black soul gem
To create soul gem essence from filled and empty gems at smelter:
1 filled black soul gem = 7 soul gem essence
1 filled grand soul gem = 5 soul gem essence
1 filled greater soul gem = 4 soul gem essence
1 filled common soul gem = 3 soul gem essence
1 filled lesser soul gem = 2 soul gem essence
1 filled petty soul gem = 1 soul gem essence

1.Regenerate Magicka - if consumed - 8% regeneration for 30 seconds
2.Fortify Enchanting
3.Restore Magicka
4.Damage Stamina

two cooking station recipes:
Soul Cloak Potion - 120 seconds any hostile close to you that is killed will fill an empty soul gem (provided the player has one large enough in their inventory)
Ethereal Potion - 15 seconds of invulnerability (any action done by player will cancel the effect)

Q. What's the difference between this and your other mod - cs soul fragments to soul gems, or x mod that does the same thing?
A. I wanted to do a bit more with this and have some head-cannon RPG element. I also wanted to have a use for fragments as an ingredient instead of just for selling as a misc item. Also, options.

A. This mod is complete. I won't be doing anything extra or changing anything unless it's for bugs.
