Your glows not glowing right?
Apply Glow re-Map!
ENBSeries Glow re-Maps provides patched glow maps for various mods. These patched glow maps relocates their control in ENBSeries from the [WINDOWLIGHT] feature to the [OBJECTGLOW] feature. This decoupling allows ENBSeries authors and users to adjust window glow without worrying about also affecting a magnitude of other actors, harvestables, objects, weapons, etc. that would otherwise get caught up in the WindowLight feature of ENBSeries.
- When allowed and they would benefit from it, the glow maps from these mods have been ran through processing to remove texture artifacting.
- Glow Maps are resaved in BC7 format
- ENBSeries v0.503+ required!
ENBSeries Glow re-Maps is compatible with the mods being patched. ENBSeries Glow re-Maps should...
- ... overwrite Particle Patch
- ... overwrite the mod being patched
The following patches are currently available:
- Deathbell HD
- LeanWolf's Better-Shaped Weapons (Dawnbreaker)
- Metallurgy
- SMIM (candles)
- Superior Chaurus 4K
Questions & Answers
Q: What is the between this and the Particle Patch's "Glow Maps for ENB"? Are they compatible?
A: Yes, they are compatible! Allow anything from this mod to overwrite the Particle Patch's option.
The difference is the Particle Patch's option uses vanilla glow maps, which may conflict with other mods who have changed these maps. As such, these mods and the Particle Patch's option aren't compatible and the Particle Patch's option should be overridden. However, this is where ENBSeries Glow re-Maps comes in; which provides patches for various mods. Thus, this mod provides solutions for these conflicts and others by making their glow maps compatible with the relocation to [OBJECTGLOW].
Q: What changes are made to the glow maps?
A: If allowed and they would benefit from it, the glow maps are first ran through processing to remove texture artifacting from previous compressions. Then an alpha layer is added that is pure black, which is how ENBSeries determines to use ObjectGlow rather than WindowLight to process the glow maps. Finally, all glow maps are re-saved in BC7 format. All formats result in the same file size, therefore, the best compression option was selected for saving.
