I am not Simon nor do I claim to have his vision for design, so these are just what I thought were more fitting. The buffs are loosely directed by Pilgrim Deity analogues and are intended to interact with other existing mechanics in Starfrost.
List of changes:
Agent of Dibella: Your stamina regeneration is increased by 25%, and you gain 5% more experience with Lover's Comfort*
Agent of Mara: Your magicka regeneration is increased by 25%, and you gain 5% more experience while under the effects of a Home Cooked Meal*
Sailor's Repose: Your health regeneration is increased by 25%, and you move 5% faster while affected by alcohol.**
Fortify Regeneration effects for all three are unconditional.
*5% experience gain, additive with the existing buffs that these effects provide (for a total of 20%).
**Counts any effect with Starfrost/Gourmet's Alcohol keyword.
Alternative Versions: For those who want them, because sometimes less is more. Use one of these OR the main file. You only need one!
Plain Gruel Edition: Only the 25% regen buffs.
Eleventy-Nine Herbs and Spices Edition: Only the 5% conditional buffs.
If you decide to change the version you're using and have already obtained one of the abilities, start a new game or use the console to remove and re-add the relevant spell(s), or you may experience inconsistent behavior. This is not necessary if you have yet completed any of the quests. Console IDs are listed below.
Agent of Dibella: 10a766
Agent of Mara: cc79a
Sailor's Repose: d397f
Compatibility
Requires AE with the Survival Mode CC.
Requires Starfrost - A Survival Overhaul and inherits it's compatibility and requirements profile.
Will conflict with anything that touches these effects, obviously.
Is technically compatible with The Heart of Dibella - Quest Expansion - load this below Heart of Dibella. It will not touch any of the new dialogue introduced by that mod, you just won't be able to change the damage bonus(because it doesn't exist anymore). This sort-of-compatibility does not work the other way around, if you prefer Jay's modifiable effects.
FAQ
Q: Why does it require Starfrost?
A: Because I mostly made it for myself, and I use Starfrost. That, and making use of Starfrosts' Keyword is infinitely easier than not doing so, and these changes make a lot less sense taken in a non-Simonrim environment.
Q: Where did the buffs come from?
A:
Q: Why replace the buffs at all?
A: The vanilla buffs are sort of weird in Simonrim, ranging from inconsequential (Sailor's Repose) to too good not to take (Mara) or just a little out of place (Dibella). Again, these are all just my opinion.
Q: Can you change x?
A: Probably won't, but feel free to ask.
Q: Can you add x?
A: If it's already touched by the Simon Suite, no. For anything else, feel free to ask.
