About this mod
Whiterun NPC (AIO) Overhaul for SSE is a mod that overhauls every single (68) NPC you can meet in Whiterun. It introduces entirely new appearances for Redguard race. This is mod is a part of my first big project which aims to overhaul, in a vanilla-friendly style every "human" NPC.

About
This mod introduces entirely new appearances for the Redguard race, and more defined appearances for the elf races (depending on whether they're High Elves, Dark Elves, or just simple Wood Elves). I absolutely love the new Irileth. I managed to... keep her "herself"? Just look at her! She absolutely nails it in the mugshot below – when you see her, you know it’s her. Is that the right way to say it? Anyways...
Every NPC in Whiterun has been changed, as well as every NPC around Whiterun. The Battle-Born farm, Whiterun's stables, Pelagia farm, and so on have all been affected!
Also, some of the NPCs received major changes, some slight changes, and some are completely different. I tried not to change the most essential NPCs, as I believe Skyrim should remain Skyrim.
I'm pretty happy with the overall result, what do you think?
Not every single NPC is included in the pictures because I want you to experience them in-game. However, I showcased the ones I found the most "fun" (in my opinion).
I overhauled over 68 NPCs but didn’t touch the three grannies, as I felt that changing every elder would take away the sense of aging. So, there are still 3 crusty NPCs walking around. I also didn’t touch the beast races – the Argonians and Khajiit walking around Whiterun remain unchanged.
Uh.., um.., guards?
Yeah, well, the Whiterun Guards are kind of dynamic NPCs that I haven’t touched yet, since they’re not "citizens" of Whiterun. The two Redguards that bug you after killing the first dragon and returning to Whiterun are also not changed because... ^ they’re not "citizens" of Whiterun.
However...
On my profile, you can find tabs where I update information about every mod I’m working on, and some other stuff, so it's totally worth checking out. That being said, the patch for Whiterun Guards and Redguard Warriors is already worked on, and it's mentioned there. If you ever wonder, “When will this guy take care of it?”, just check his profile!
This overhaul also includes my previously made overhaul for the twin brothers and Lydia. However, Lydia received major changes because I learned how makeup layering works :D
Of course, if you have any of these overhauls installed, please remove them before installing this mod.
Keep in mind that...
They aren't meant to look like perfect dolls, but they do look good. I didn’t want to make them look ugly just "because". Some NPCs have visible dirt, and some do not – I didn’t want the dirt to always be there on their faces. This is where mods can help us maintain the immersion.
The NPCs won’t look exactly like they do in the pictures in your game unless you install all the required mods I mentioned below – but I think that’s pretty obvious. I tried to make them performance-friendly, so I chose hairstyles without physics, but they still look very natural.
Believe me or not, but I tried MY BEST not to completely change their appearance while still keeping the "soul" of their looks. However, some of the NPCs have major changes. I think you’ll agree with me that it’s hard to preserve their original looks with all the new textures because, at least for me, they looked strange when being both "ugly" and "glorified".
I did not, and I will not, overhaul children, but if you wish to do so, I highly recommend installing RS Children Overhaul, as it works perfectly with the new NPCs' looks.
Your feedback on the mod is very important to me, as I want to align my style with the needs of other players. I plan on overhauling every city one by one. However, with the amount of changes I make to each NPC, it may take a while. ^^
IMPORTANT
It's crucial to install the Save Unbaker!
Their weight has been changed and the mod will not work properly on recent saves, because there will be a visible neck gap. Commands that change NPCs' weight won't help but will bug their appearance.
For them to work properly on recent saves you need to install Save Unbaker.
On new saves it will work poperly.
This is because the data implemented in mods such as <in this case> weight despite the highest priority in MO2 or whatever you're using is overwritten by the data contained in the game saves. Save Unbaker prioritizes data from mods, so they will load with their new weight.
REQUIRED MODS
As we all know, Skyrim's shaders are bad, not to mention the shadows, which are simply terrible. Therefore, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to install either Community Shaders or some ENB presets. I personally use Community Shaders, as it has a much smaller impact on my performance compared to ENB, especially since I’m playing with 3GB of VRAM, lol.
Again, the NPCs will look different with, for example, a different skin mod, as the makeup was made for one specific skin mod which is Tempered Skin for M&F in this case. It's impossible to match every skin that's available.
Here are previews of my NPCs using skin; BNP for Males & BNP for Females in Natural Lightning Mugshots - they look great!
Thank you for your work istenno!

Skipping any of the mentioned mods may result in breaking the mod, but since this mod only changes textures and meshes with a few adjustments to the inventory of some of them, it won't break your save.
Don't skip anything though.
INSTALLATION
Install as every single mod, but one after another when it comes to Parts.
I recommend placing it at the very end of the list to bypass possible override by other mods that change the appearance of NPCs, but before Save Unbaker.
Thank you for reading and please endorse the mod if you installed it and you enjoy it, you support my work this way!
Good luck and have fun.
