This mod is for an NPC follower that encourages a different kind of play style where the player seeks to support his followers rather than the other way round!

FREYA ALVORSDOTTIR
This follower is different from most Skyrim followers on Nexus in that she has no combat ability and is neither protected or essential. She will run for cover whenever danger threatens, but is easily killed if she is caught (See "Freya goes to Whiterun" video). So she is designed for a different type of play style, where the player is responsible for supporting his follower rather than the other way round! She is a potential follower but has limited dialogue as I developed her for use in an Large Language Model (LLM) mod such as Mantella or CHIM.
She is the daughter of Alvor and Sigrid and grew up in Riverwood, but has started studying Skyrim Lore at the Bards College in Solitude. So, although she will be no use whatsoever in supporting you in combat, she can (hopefully - depending on the LLM you use in CHIM or Mantella) provide useful help solving puzzles and with information on dungeons, enemies, and Skyrim history based on her reading...
She travels to Solitude for the start of Term and back to Riverwood for her vacations. The journey takes 3 days in total and the player can provide protection (her lack of protected status and combat ability make her vulnerable on the journey).
Her Term Times are as follows:
- Michaelmas Term runs from the 10th of Frostfall to the 10th of Evening Star
- Lent Term runs from the 10th of Morning Star to the 10th of First Seed
- Easter Term runs from the 10th of Rain's Hand to the 10th of Midyear
She will start her journey to Solitude 2 days before the beginning of term, staying at inns on the way and arriving, late, on the first day of term
During the Vacations she lives with her mother and father and will travel to Whiterun on the weekends to purchase supplies for her family. Again, the players protection during these journeys will help her to survive.
This mod is intended to be fully standalone (although a physics mod will be required for body physics to work). It includes a high poly head, hair, textures and a custom CBBE 3BA body. I have dressed her in simple clothes. Just what you might expect for the daughter of a simple blacksmith...

Recommended Mods for use with this Mod:
Freya can be used as an npc/ follower in the basic/ vanilla game, but I highly recommend trying ai mods such as CHIM or Mantella, they really do transform the game!

Installation:
1. For use as a basic follower without any AI/LLM mod
- Simply download and install the main file, start the game and travel to Riverwood and look for her in Riverwood (weekdays) or Whiterun (weekends, after the first weekend of the game). Later in the game she may also be found in Solitude, during her term times).
- She is a potential follower so you should be able to recruit her in the usual way.
2. For Use with Mantella
- Download and Install the main file.
- Download and Install the optional Mantalla Bios file
- Start the game and travel to Riverwood and look for her in Riverwood (weekdays) or Whiterun (weekends, after the first weekend of the game). Later in the game she may also be found in Solitude, during her term times)
3. For Use with CHIM
- Download and Install the main file.
- Manually download the optional CHIM Bios file (CHIM V1.0.20 should already have Freya's bio. However the csv file on this mod page will update her family and friends so they also know who she is).
- Start the CHIM server and upload the CHIM_Freya_Mod_Characters_Bios.csv file to the biography management file as described in the CHIM manual.
- Start the game and travel to Riverwood and look for her in Riverwood (weekdays) or Whiterun (weekends, after the first weekend of the game). Later in the game she may also be found in Solitude, during her term times).
- Activate her as described in the CHIM manual.
The videos show samples of playthoughs with CHIM (and the CHIM bios provided) and there is an extract of "Freyas Diary" (a CHIM feature) in the images section where she is appointed as Technical Manager for a project to convert Embershard mine into a suitable dragon shelter for the population of Riverwood by the Jarl of Whiterun!
