Hey everyone!
This is a quick mod I made as I wanted some oars to wash up on shore in my new mod Shores of Skyrim - Base Object Swapper and, when I saw the vanilla oars, I had to fix them. It's a mesh only replacer that uses the textures you currently have installed and so it should blend in with your current set-up. The new oars and slimmer, smoother, and more aerodynamic. Less like a plank and a bit more like an oar. I've also removed that odd bit of rope near the blade of the oar as I'm not sure what that was meant to be there for.
As this is a mesh replacer, you can install and uninstall it at anytime without any ill effects on your save.
I made a few variants while I was working on this and so may offer some more options in the future too.
Thanks for checking out the mod and happy adventuring!
Installation:
