TS - Immersive Patrols Addon - Civil War
Immersive Patrols has been a staple in my mod list since the days of Oldrim. Its full version contains patrols for the Civil War Factions among other things. This mod expands on these by adding more patrols for the Imperial and the Stormcloaks. The mod adds around 200 NPCs in total.
Requires one of the 3 main files. It has been tested with Immersive Patrols (Heavy) but should work with the other main files as well. The "Always Enabled" versions are not supported.
Features:
- Expansion of existing patrols from Immersive Patrols. Up to 10 soldier instead of 5.
- Addition of new patrols that mostly travel from the Vanilla Civil War camps to Forts and other defensive positions and even smaller towns making the world more dynamic and conflict ridden.
Each patrol is around 10 soldiers.
No new patrols in Winterhold.
There are 2 small patrols for each faction starting in the respective capital city barracks (Windhelm, Solitude).
Different patrols have different schedules. The ones attacking towns move less frequently (2-3 days a week).
See exact patrol routes below.
- New Types of soldiers for each faction's patrols. The types of soldiers are (Leader, Heavy Soldier, Soldier, Mage). Only patrol NPCs are affected. No Vanilla edits. They use vanilla assets. The levels of the soldiers are higher than the base Immersive Patrols (Level 30-10).
- The static battle sites from Immersive Patrols are not edited.
- The Civil War camps are not edited for maximum compatibility.
- Optional Addon: Battle for Whiterun
It is probably incompatible with any mods altering the civil War sides/questline. It expects the Stormcloaks as invaders and Imperials as defenders. Not recommended to use it with other mods that populate the same battle. I recommend Open Civil War.
New patrols routes/targets. The green dots indicate approximate location of initially disabled camps:

Known issues:
- Some vanilla camps are not enabled by default; they depend on the Civil War quest progression. That means that you can find some of the new patrols hanging out in the wilderness before the relevant quest is finished. However, I find this preferrable to having patrols interfere in your game even if you are not interested in the Civil War.
- It is possible to now get dynamic battles within some towns depending on the stage of the Civil War; this is intended. Always make sure your game is stable if you decide to use any populated civil war mods.
- No new Thalmor or Forsworn Patrols. I may add some in the future as optional plugins.
- It is probably OK to add this mod into an existing save but not advisable.
Compatibility:
It should be compatible with everything except city mods that close off towns into separate cells (e.g. Holds The City Overhaul). Please, let me know if you find any issues.
