About this mod
Alternate Start Reborn reimagines the starting experience in Alternate Start - Live Another Life. Instead of waking in a dark prison cell, you begin in a dreamlike Ayleid ruin, surrounded by mystical light and ancient stone. This is a purely aesthetic change—functionality remains the same, allowing you to choose your path as before.

This is my first released mod, and it's a simple but enchanting reimagining of Alternate Start - Live Another Life. The cold, dreary prison cell is no more—in its place, a dreamlike Ayleid ruin bathed in soft, arcane light. Instead of Mara’s warm embrace, Azura’s guiding hand now shapes your fate. The bed has become a shimmering arcane circle, and beyond the windows, only the endless void remains. The essence of the mod is unchanged—only the setting and a few text elements have been gently woven into this new mystical theme.
I poured a lot of love into this, and I hope it brings a little extra wonder to your journey.
✧ Requirements ✧
You’ll need Alternate Start - Live Another Life and any of its requirements including Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch - USSEP.
✧ Load Order ✧
Make sure this mod and any of its patches load after Alternate Start - Live Another Life and any patches related to it.
✧ Compatibility ✧
- An Alternate Start Race Menu Activator patch is available! The Shrine of Mara has been replaced with an ancient runic stone, perfect for those who seek Azura’s wisdom.
- A Southbound Scouts patch is also available if you'd rather not start in prisoner’s clothes. This option lets you begin with a more mystical outfit, though you’ll need FSMP - Faster HDT-SMP for the robes to work their magic. Bodyslide files are included for the robes so they do not affect armors added by Southbound Scouts.
